Because we have no sense of personal danger and think doing stuff like that is way too much fun!
As a young cub:
fell off a slide and broke collar bone
jumped off the roof of house and sprained both ankles
fell through ice on a river in early spring
been bitten by a couple sled dogs
scars from stepping on nails
scar on leg from falling through a clothesline platform
came home covered in oil based paint
scars on knees from riding bike into cars, buildings, etc
skull cracked from being hit with a hockey stick
couple scars from being stabbed with a pencil

Yep  had a fairly average childhood I'd say    (note the 5)

She has already started.  Took a header off of the "escape proof" highchair (She climbed onto the table part of it.) ~ And she STILL climbs up there.  Keeps trying for the ring pole at the play ground ~ she is NOT long onough to reach from the platform to climbing rings.  Has fallen flat on the sidewalks many times.  Crawls down the porch steps half way, and then decides. . . hmmm. . . maybe I should just step off from here.  If not being watched like a weasel in a henhouse, will climb on TOP of her play kitchen to get to the top of the bookself.  Climbs up on top of the fireplace mantle.  I am surprised that she has not fallen more.  So, yeah, she will def. end up with her share of scrapes and bruises.

Status: offline 		Oh goody. I just found out the guy who cuts our grass was using the weedwacker yesterday and a 6ft snake bit him when he got too close to a tree.

He says it was a harmless black snake. HARMLESS MY ASS!!! It BIT him...how harmless is that????

Betcha it was an Anaconda...or a Cobra. Could have been a Python....

Status: offline 		Ok, this is one of those things that I DO NOT NEED TO FUCKING HEAR ABOUT!!! I have one goddamn phobia and it's snakes. I had a nightmare about a huge dirty, dusty snake wrapped around a bush at my home in Idaho and all I could do was whimper in fear for hours.

How the HELL do you have 6 feet long snakes in yer neck of the woods??? Good lord, was he sure it was a black snake, not anything like an Eastern Diamondback, copperhead, or any of those other icky, nasty poisonous snakes out here???????????? Snakes - now they're gonna be on my mind all day....   Maybe I'll distract myself by redoing all my immigration paperwork. Again......

(scuse me, right now is a good time for bracing cup of tea..... or something stronger.)
