HOLLY!!!
FLUFFY!!!
SUNSHINE!!!

I spent all day yesterday battling with strawberry jam, got up this morning to find the stuff didn't jell after all, and I need to pour it out of the jars and recook it. Aaargh! I'm too old and tired for this.

Can't believe it's 40 years since Stonewall though. Lord, I'm getting old.

Man, you have my sympathy on the jam, I hate it when that happens. Do you use pectin or just sugar?  Ooooooooo, can you make freezer jam with it?    (and do I get a small sample for the sympathy and support?)  *winks*

No, but there is an extra bed in Butterhead's room.  I suppose that you and Sunshine would just have to duke it out for who gets to sleep where.  OR if you wanted to be all alone. . . I can arrange a camper-trailer-y-thing-y that has its own bed room, shower, oven, stove, microwave, and tv!

what i do is buy the pre-made liquid already made stuff, the clear rum, and fresh strawberries. All you have to do is add ice, berries, the mix and the rum in a blender. THey are SOOO good!!

  • 50ml of white rum
  • 10ml freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 5 or so ripe strawberries
  • Sugar syrup to taste (Stir 500g sugar into 250ml water and bring to boil, stirring constantly. Cool and refrigerate.)
Method
  1. You can make this in a shaker but it's best done in a blender. Whiz it up with four ice cubes, pour into a chilled margarita glass and garnish with a strawberry.

Okay. . . I have found a recipie. . . combined with Miss D's it should work well.  (Hers has the number of strawberries and ice to use! )

It does not say anything about bitters. . . instead it says triple sec. 

ice
2 parts light rum
1 part triple sec
1 part fresh starwberries
Lime juice
Lime wedges
sugar

Of course it counts as a fruit serving!  And since 151 rum is the same color as diet coke, it has the same calories!
