Oh Lordy......I just waded thru pages of that board......who do they think they are kidding????? She is pretty much a drama queen in EVERY board she's ever made posts on, is forever sticking her foot in her mouth, and I'm not quite sure what to make of him, other than his obvious arrogance.
Lotta hot air over on that board....you guys that are stuck in the frozen north should go over to warm up!

Actually, I am seriously thinking DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) considering her newest incarnation swears she isn't them. Could be. Who know? More importantly, who cares?

It's interesting to see people appreciating the Goreans though since now there is something of a united front. The whole "Enemy of my enemy is my friend" thing. The poster(s) are so utterly out of line that EVERYBODY can agree. heh.

I doubt it. I've known some DIDs and they don't act like that. Their individual selves have distinct styles and consciousness. She's just lying.

Hi Steven,
I have too - treated them in fact. Not all people who suffer from DID are that distinct. Some have personalities that are aware of each other, while others in that same body know nothing about the others. Some people have very integrated personalities with only one who knows nothing about the rest. Still others have very fluid sectioned off parts.

In the end, there is definitely mental illness. That is obvious too, I think, even by the most clueless bystander. Very sad.

I started at the op, went through twenty pages, the first of which seemed to be a debate between a few people on what a true slave was, who one was, what was gorean, who had the right to be called gorean, etc

Personally, having read the gor saga, studied philosophy and history, I can say that all Norman did was combine three ancient philosophies, and added a caste system.

i haven't studied philosophy or history (although history fascinates me) i would have to agree having read most of the books. And actually the caste system has been used in other cultures throughout history. What John Norman did was institute the same caste system "world wide" on Gor.

There are a few problems trying to live the gorean philosophy in real life. Considering the codes of honor, caste guidelines etc, trying to implement it as a total philosophy and lifestyle is next to impossible, if it is possible at all.
