You ought to know by now that they do it on purpose. We get pissed off, ban them from the kitchen, and they don't have to wash the dishes. Oldest trick in the book.

Assign him the tree and the boxes.
Push them onto the porch and don't let them back into the kitchen.
Then you can have the kitchen back and he can lug boxes in and out, up and down. Besides people pay good money for stairmasters, he can do it for free.

I disagree. It is simply a lack of experience and training. Being semi-sexist I've had very commited and concerned women try to help me with a car repair or home repair. They work very hard and make minimal progress. Mean while I'm biting my lip trying not to say "Go Way, your about as usefull as tits on a boar hog. I would actually be faster and do better work if you were not here."
I'm sure Jim worked very hard and dilegently to clean out that silverware holder. Holly was just impatient. And being the caring soul that he is he did not say anything about how dirty the crumb filled silverware drawer was. (It was no doubt something that was bothering him to a major extent [like men leaving the toilet seat up tends to bother women when they forget to check it at night and sit down in the bowl water.] since he put so much effort into it.) He knew Holly was frustrated and took it upon himself to take care of something that was no doubt bothering him. He should be rewarded and praised for his efforts and patience.
