Status: offline 		The hotel is being just super, they set up butane cookers and put a buffet out in the lobby and handed out flashlights and glow sticks...  because the emergency generators died after five hours!  I was WAY glad we were only on the fourth floor, believe me!

Status: offline 		The winds were around 35 mph the last two days, so I guess some trees fell over onto some power lines and voila!  Half a mile of beach in the dark!

i've had to take off the flannel sheets, thermal blanket and quilt. serious considerations are being made to break out the air conditioner. contemplating how i can rearrange my freezer to accomodate ice cubes again. actual clothes are getting uncomfortable - i'm ready this year, i got lightweight cotton sarongs
