So, here's my little piece of advice. The proper position makes the hugest difference. I personally prefer kneeling on the floor in front of My Lord, as the angle seems to be exactly right.

Due to the fact that I'm so good at it, his knees prefer the bed. There it is best for me to be between his legs, with him lying on his back. I find that if I place my thumb at the base, I can guide it more carefully. Sometimes, laying on our sides, we can duplicate standing, but it doesn't always work.

Laying on your back on the bed with your head off is a good way, but it takes a little practice to get it right, and then it's still hard to get the angle right. I also like kneeling on the floor in front of him either sitting on the edge of the bed or back in a chair. It's almost as good an angle as standing.

Also, make sure your hair is ALL the way out of the way. Not only is it distracting, it can get in your mouth and aggravate the gag reflex. Also, he would probably like to watch, I'm thinking.

Lady..........I find that if you kneel in front of him and he will take his time,he can find that special spot that will open right up for you and slide right down one side of your throat without gaging.......smiles! if you think about it.. a firm member doesn't bend well.. so any position you choose the throat has to be reasonably straight.. think of a sword swallower.. as far as gag reflex.. it's written that by sticking your tongue out.. it flattens in the back of your throat to make it easier...

An added note: I wouldn't try hanging your head off the bed until you get the hang of it. Trust me, the first few times, you are going to want to control the depth and pressure, and you surrender any kind of control in this position. The only negative that i have noticed is that deepthroating for the past 8 years has changed my vocal range. I used to be a high soprano. Now I'm an alto. I can't sing as well as I used to. After I've been training, my voice is much softer and more husky.

Anyone *CAN* get over a gag reflex if it's important enough to them personally to do so. My gag reflex was *horrible*. It takes work, and it takes wanting it, and it takes patience.
