Not to mention the fact that she could probably kick your ass without breaking a sweat, so I'd really consider stowing the big me, little you attitude if I were you.

Freud would find your reaction to my statement a rather fascinating case of projection. Nothing in that statement refers directly or indirectly to who you are partnered with. Not only that, nowhere does it imply who is or isn't in a TPE relationship, that is again purely your projection into my writing.

ALL that says is that you can't judge a dominant or the relationship without knowing who he/she is dominating.

Both attitudes are set and stubborn, you aren't going to suddenly say something so wise that the other completely agrees so why not instead be adult and agree to disagree rather than resort to insults and patronising?

I can't speak for the others but having run a number of BDSM groups as well as being actively involved in a variety of scene events and such, I get to deal with the emotional fallout some of this stuff causes. The drama , the heartbreak, the relationships that should have been beautiful ruined by some crap someone read on the internet. I was at a discussion group in San Francisco last night and I heard some of this same sort of crap from someone in the audience. I cringed, I can see the tragectory of that relationship and it isn't good. So forgive me for holding my ground on something that I believe in.

Besides, if it really bugs you, there ARE other threads...

So make your point clearly and maturely, rather than making it personal, the argument is getting lost in the personal rubbish being spouted. Personally I agree that forums can be influential in opinions, but generally the points that make an impact are those that are written eloquently. To me both of you have very valid views that work for you, which is great and useful to see, however it gets ruined by being petty which is such a shame.
