Listening to AC/DC from 1974, the sun is bright, the wind is constant and "winter" means low 50s.
Have some phone calls to make, involving filing formal complaints and tearing new orifices...life is good being back in my natural habitat.

I admit that the crappy part of working alone is not having anyone to bounce ideas off of. Clients developing iphone app... are software costs a cost of goods thing? Or startup? Or some combination?

It's not, actually, it's a product cost. Which I just expensed as a product cost, since it's an APP, with unlimited download capability, it's not like we have an "inventory". This is why they pay me the medium bucks, I guess. [&:]

I admit I am not good at the tax code at all.

I admit Engineering is probably not the highest paid profession but not the lowest either.

I admit the S&M people make the Big Big bucks (S&M in normal business is the Sales and Marketing group for all you pervs!)

I admit that I've voiced more of my opinions on CM forums than I have almost anywhere on the internet, let alone in the world, including my now defunct facebook page.

I admit I've received a bunch of support and kind words here in the CM forums and on the other side. Thanks to A/all.

Yup, need lots of warm in my world.  Although I'm sitting here watching CSI in the buff.  [:D]

I admit I picked up a 10 1/2 lb pork picnic shoulder w / bone-in for $3.65 today.  I shit you not!  I was pretty proud of myself.

I admit I've been  out 3 days in a row now, that's 2 1/2 days too many for me.  But I got my license sticker renewed along with my d/l and a new health card since I have no idea where the original one went.  Last time I saw it was when I had the 2 teeth withdrawn and by the time I left, I was pretty loopy from the sedation.  Then going to the drugstore for the Percocet left me even loopier. 

I admit today I got to the urgent care clinic, I've now got a referral to a gastroenterologist and a whosit surgeon for my tailbone since healing doesn't seem to be working well.  I still can't sit for more than 30 minutes at a time and it's been over 3 1/2 months.  Driving my car is the worst! [8D]

over here, they're called locums. they come out after hours, when the clinics are all closed up. generally bulk bill (means you don't pay cash out of hand), usually. i guess they figure it's cheaper than people going to the ER unnecessarily.

not everywhere over here has them, though
