I admit that coming back from the all night shop I found a pair of dentures on the pavement.

I admit that I now can't sleep because of wondering why someone would leave a pair of dentures in the street.

I admit that in this way at least living in Ireland rocks. GP's still do housecalls here, and it generally only costs slightly more than seeing her in her clinic. :-)

Did you say... "the doc will come out"?  As in house-calls?  Didn't think anyone did those anymore!



over here, they're called locums. they come out after hours, when the clinics are all closed up. generally bulk bill (means you don't pay cash out of hand), usually. i guess they figure it's cheaper than people going to the ER unnecessarily.

not everywhere over here has them, though

ETA:   Just came to me, the whosit surgeon is an orthopedic surgeon, now all I have to do is wait for the appointment.  Could take awhile, gastroenterologist is going to take even more time to see.  At least the GYN is next week, Feb 1st at my favorite time [>:] 8:30 am.  Bejeebus but I hate early morning appointments.

I admit that I am wearing different shoes today... I've been wearing my DM maryjanes since the tumble two months ago. I am Already Sorry, but have unfastened the little front straps that got on my nerves. And if anyone runs across a pair of Doc Martens style SHEILA, in size UK 5, give me a heads up, mmkay? I would love a second pair to stash away.

I admit that I am so caught up at work that I'm going to the Creepy Basement to see if there are any old files that have been missed in our recent purging endeavors.

I admit that it took me 1.5 hrs to get home from work this morning, due to a freight train being broken down or some such shit on the crossing before my turn.

I admit that I now know an alternate route home.
