i admit great pride in my youngest and his best friend. they caught two guys in the act of burglarizing our next door neighbor's house, pretended like they didn't see the wide open door then followed the guys on foot to another neighbor's house, came home and had me call the sheriff. one person arrested, one big screen tv missing still but they think it's only a matter of finding out where they took it and quite possibly some local burglaries might be solved as a result as well. these are 14 and 15 yr old kids who cared enough to not let someone get away with it because they didn't want to get involved. i am very pleased! filled out witness statements and the whole bit, id'd the guy by the clothes he was wearing. my neighbor was away and just got home, he just can't thank them enough.

You should be proud! I am so happy to hear some good news about young folks.

Well, I will wear them in my bedroom, for my parrot...[&o] and I can walk on pointe, so why not? The maker of the shoes is freakin GENIUS at walking in extreme heels. These are made on a base of actual pointe shoes, so as long as the pitch is right... Bedroom shoes! Hah.

What do you mean, bedroom shoes! Hah. I have a perfectly good pair of bedroom shoes ...... black patented leather slip on pumps with a 5" heel. Ever since I tore the crap out of my ankle 15 months ago, I can't wear anything over 2 inches, as the ankle is no longer stable enough.

I am a bit nervous since I trashed my ankle six months ago, but I think I'll be fine, steel shanks eh. And there is no one I am aware of that has any real interest in the contents of my bedroom.

Woohoo! Haus! I'm so glad you are having a wonderful time. Good holidays (vacations) are just so much fun. I hear you, about the food. I admit I would dearly love some ballet heels (for the bedroom [;)] ) and He would thoroughly enjoy me learning and accomplishing en pointe. Adult ballet classes... here I come! I would love to see the pics, Hib! I admit it's rainy, windy & cold today. Perfect for staying in bed.. except I have work in 2 and a bit hours!

I admit that I caught Mom up earlier this morning. She had trouble sleeping. I admit that I am still a bit sleepy myself but I am staying up. I got an afghan to work on. I admit that I will fix myself some eggs in a few minutes. Can't decide whether scrambled or boiled. I admit Ash needs to get someplace safe. I admit that I hope Haus enjoyed his vacation. I admit that I just saw Hibbie's shoes...DAMN! I know I can break my ankle in those shoes. I admit that I am ready for Kitkat to get here in the states. I know she has been pining away. I admit that I will watch a few movies while I am down in Austin. Brave, Rock of Ages... I admit that my chiropractor is moving offices. I need to find the new place in case I need to get my back popped again. ETA: A neighbor is clearing out some trees on his property. We thought it was the county fixing the roads. Apparently he is selling the trees to a lumber mill nearby. Can't hear the mailman over the noise.

I admit that I am supposed to go for drinks wiht some co-workers (and the GM!!) this afternoon. I admit that this will totally fuck with my sleep schedule (I do have to work tonight). Not to mention that my head hasn't quite reached migraine stage, but I AM almost out of aspirin in the past 2 days. I told them that me breaking my sleep pattern is a bad idea, dammit. I admit that I wish they'd understand that I'm happy to do stuff on my off days, but on workdays, not so much. ETA:: I admti I just called and said I am not gonna make it. HEAD HURTS!!!!!!! whimper

Hands greedy a glass of water and some painkillers. Turns off all noise producing appliances and closes the windows. Get a cool facecloth to rest of the eyes and forehead. Get some sleep sweetie.....I hope you feel better when you wake up.
