Phoenixpower: I admit as I am not a weird driver anyway I will try to leave it until I get home at the end of the month, as then my dad can put my winter wheel on that one already....and in case it goes wrong on that distance it shouldn't be too bad, cause after 2/3rd of that journey I am stopping by at the garage anyway, where I bought the car, as they have to do 3 tiny repairs

I admit I'm so glad my daughter's boyfriend knows how to fix cars so I don't have to worry so much about her having problems with her car.
I admit he checks her car about every other week so she's safe on the road which I think is oh so sweet of him and makes me feel she's in secure hands.

I admit I am happy for your daughter [:)]

I admit 10 years ago I also had some quick fix contacts on my hands but thats just not the case right now in this area...and with that issue I don't wanna go to the landlord again now...with my car just having been there twice (though the 2nd time wasn't my fault)...

I admit, though, I decided now to get my wheel exchanged tomorrow and for that just pick up our mini-criminal-kid with my car instead of the bus from work...

I admit the reason I use my car for this quite long distance has also to do with the fact that his granny wants him to be picked up at 8am at the latest at her place...so I have to leave here at 6am to ensure I have time in case my wheel would give up (I doubt it, but no need to take the chance with speeding there in for the last minute) so with 2 hourse I have plenty time in making that 1 hour 11 minute journey...

I admit after picking him up I will hand my car into a garage near him to get that changed...and have my winter wheel for that in my boot already...

I admit it is just safer that way [:o][:o][:o] and with having a 13 hour shift tomorrow it also takes away some of my time (as originally the agreement was, that we are supposed to start at the workplace at 9am....not leaving that freaking early to pick him up...)

I admit petrol cost wise I would prefer using the bus from work but that would mean I would have to go there today to pick up the bus keys cause they are still asleep at that time in the morning and I just can't be arsed to go there today....no thanks...I will still make it there with my car [:)]

GreedyTop -> RE: I Admit It I........ (8/12/2012 8:28:58 AM)

isn't it? I haven't fully checked his profile, but the emails show him to be a really cool guy. Intelligent, well spoken (and the talent goes without saying!!)

*sigh*

(and for my Girl posse.. he is actually in the Southeastern United States LOL)

Not that it matters... he and I are talking about artistic stuff and nothing else..

RemoteUser -> RE: I Admit It I........ (8/12/2012 9:10:46 AM)

I admit that I have off-the-clock work to do today, on top of on-the-clock work. No rest for the wicked.

I admit that I'll be very happy to see my son today. [:)]

I admit that I haven't been a good Daddy recently. My girl's been feeling down and I haven't been able to bring her back up. That happens sometimes, nothing to do done about it. However, in my stress-induced stupidity I took that to heart, and rather than let it be like I usually would, I let that disappointment in myself get directed at her. That's the exact opposite of how it should be. I owe her an apology or three for that.

This would be me right about now. Even with me having my stupid phase, she still loves me; so when I go on about how wonderful she is, it ain't lip service. She really is an amazing woman, and a good girl.

Ok, enough of that. I don't like to be negative, so I'll end this with a good note: I admit that I love my girl, very much. I always want to make her happy and do the best I can to provide for her, to care for her, soothe her, nurture her and love her the way she deserves to be loved. I admit that she is the best partner I've ever had, and she continually amazes me, which is why I am so proud of her. I respect her; she has more talents than she realizes, and they are better than she knows. She is a good person and a fine friend, and when I take her hand I want to show her exactly how great she is, in case she forgets or doesn't see it for herself.

I admit I need advice on good flea dips for cats. Finances are tight (more so than usual) and the topical stuff is a bit dear right now, so I was wondering if anyone has reccomendations for flea-bathing shampoos?

Yes, I do plan to be wearing full motorcycling leathers....

LaTigresse -> RE: I Admit It I........ (8/12/2012 9:21:20 AM)

To be honest, I've never found anything that works as well as the topical stuff. Everything else I've ever tried was minimally effective at best. There is a brand called Prefurred that is less expensive than the more commonly known brands. It's the same shit.

GreedyTop -> RE: I Admit It I........ (8/12/2012 9:35:43 AM)

Prefurred is topical? I tried the stuff from walmart (that advertises that it has the same ingredients as Revolution)... major FAIL. Both cats were back to scratching and chewing in less than 48 hrs. Hmph.

I'm thinking I'll just stock up on ramen noodles next check.,.

SirNose -> RE: I Admit It I........ (8/12/2012 10:25:52 AM)

Can your cats wear flea collars? Those work pretty well if you can leave them on the wretched creature without it strangling itself, or they have some sort of allergic reaction to the things.

GreedyTop -> RE: I Admit It I........ (8/12/2012 10:34:50 AM)

Tried that. They were useless. The fleas moved in UNDER the collars. Of course, that DID mean that the cats weren't licking and chewing their butts quite as much...

If you can be OCD about it and they will tolerate it, flea combing them often will do a decent job of flea control.
Then if you use a flea and tick home and carpet type spray like Adams you can be in pretty good shape.

The other thing is food grade (very important!!) diatomaceous earth is a wonderful natural flea killer.
It is non-toxic and you dust the cats with it (being a bit careful around their faces; breathing a lot of it in isn't necessarily a good thing).
It is not terribly expensive depending on where you shop.

In a pinch, you can wash them in Dawn (or even baby shampoo). The trick is to keep kitty's body submerged after you lather em up and many of the fleas will drown.

Baby shampoo means you can be less careful around their eyes.
If I use Dawn I skip her head altogether.

Just a thought. The drops probably wouldn't do any good either, then.

If they are literally chewing and licking around their butts, it sounds like a worm issue as well
as a flea issue. Alot of the over the counter products only address the flea issue, leaving the
worms behind. (no pun intended)
I've been using Revolution for my 3 and 1/2 cats for years now, and not once has it failed me.
Check your email shortly for a cheap source to buy it from.

GreedyTop -> RE: I Admit It I........ (8/12/2012 10:55:17 AM)

I've seen signs of worms on Amos (saw that 800petmeds now has an OTC worm treatment! YAY!)

as far as I can tell, cashie is just dealing with fleas (are fleas more attracted to lighter colors? it sure seems that way.. Cashie seems to be suffring from the itchies more than Amos).

Nose.. the topical treatments like Revolution work well on my kids, but like I said, finances are horribly tight just now. I was hoping for a less expensive, short term solution).

Jellie... I wil try baths in Dawn. (thus the willingness to garb myself in motorcycle leathers, if need be...LOL).

I think toe trims are in order......

GreedyTop -> RE: I Admit It I........ (8/12/2012 11:07:16 AM)

btw, poise.. you so ROCK!

ashjor911 -> RE: I Admit It I........ (8/12/2012 11:18:32 AM)

I admit that i am here... hugs to all

GreedyTop -> RE: I Admit It I........ (8/12/2012 11:20:46 AM)

ASH!! *tacklehugs*!!!!

Now that you have posted, I can go to bed, slightly less concerned...

yourdarkdesire -> RE: I Admit It I........ (8/12/2012 12:28:40 PM)

nice to see you here Ash! So how come your two male wrestlers missed their bouts at the Olympics? Too ashamed of their governments actions to show up??

Weren't those Egyptians that showed up late?

Shininglight23 -> RE: I Admit It I........ (8/12/2012 1:26:12 PM)

I admit... I'm glad to see Ash posted today.

I admit... My sister hasn't called me/responded to any of my calls since I came back to California.

I admit... It's hurtful to think I can spend every day with her while I'm back there, but then when I can't DO anything for HER... she drops me like a hot potato.

I admit... I'm getting a birthday trip on Wednesday... YAY!

I admit... When it comes down to the brass tacks...I'm a really lucky girl.
