I completely agree with that. I do my hair and makeup, and take effort to look attractive. I wouldn't have cosmetic surgery myself, but I see nothing wrong with it. There is nothing wrong with wanting to look nice. There is simply a line that some people cross that takes them far overboard in the search for "pretty".

Have male genitalia been scrutinized and surgically enhanced? I suppose so, but much of the concern seems to stem from the external, "public" nature of their aparatus. Unless I'm utterly clueless, women don't routinely compare the size of their clits or shape of their labia to others in the locker room. Also a penis might provide more pleasure after plastic surgery, but prettifying a pussy serves little practical purpose and could even decrease enjoyment of sex.

Isn't it enough that boob jobs remain so prevalent despite concerns about implant safety and loss of nipple sensation? Must we proliferate still more unnecessary and potentially dangerous cosmetic procedures? If you're on the verge of having some frivolous procedure done, I urge you to take a moment and think about women who need mastectomies, chemotherapy or other lifesaving operations or medications. Imagine what could happen if even 1% of the money spent each year on vanity procedures and products were redirected to those who really need help?

Hmmm,...this topic just twisted my mind. We as women have so much presented to us on a daily basis to improve ourselves, it's everywhere. Of course doing things to make ourselves feel good, or pretty is healthy. But there is a limit that should be drawn here.
