changing to:   or grammatical errors

will considerably alleviate the euphonic damage that was wrought in the original sentence.

Its hardly alright to insult someone for something (s)he does not master properly.
Besides, your question is too general to be answered properly.

Aww, did someone bump their lame troll thread because nobody replied then get moderated for it?  That's priceless.

If I get an incoherent message from a sub littered with misspellings and atrocious grammar, yes, I will write back and suggest that he clean up his writing skills before messaging a Domme.  I don't get ugly about it but the reply is usually along the lines of  "Fuck you".

I try not to, especially if the poster is in Sweden, Mexico, etc., and is clearly using English as a second language. If the thinking is clear and it's simply poor English skills, that's one thing. But I HATE muddled thinking.

It's perfectly ok to insult someone for typos/errors. It's also ok for me to judge people who make attacks based on typos/errors all the time as tedious. If I can understand what is written, I'll usually leave typos/errors alone unless there's something funny about it. And then I might say "ha! funny typo!" but I don't feel the need to insult someone over it. It does bother me when people screw up proper names, so I may offer a correction sans insult.

I do this not because I am a kind person, but because I have far more dignified insults at my disposal.

English is my 3rd language, so yes, I will make spelling mistakes and will have grammatical errors, I try not to but they tend to slip in, but what annoys me is if somebody who's a native speaker just can't be bothered to spell right, or they think it's acceptable to use text speak, I find that quite rude, almost like a message saying "I really don't care".

Yeah, it seems you guys are like that Sir A doesn't like it either when I reply 6 times to one email, demanding from me to collect my thoughts before writing them down and then to reply to him in one email

My favorite ones, are the ones who point out spelling or grammar errors in posts that are calling someone else ignorant.

As to whether or not it's ok, sure, why not. Just don't get upset if you find out english is not their first language or they have dyslexia. Then you will be the one who ends up looking like an idiot.

No, I don't do it; I believe it would make me look insecure. Yesterday, I read something in french in another thead that is gramatically incorrect, but I don't plan to correct it. (Although, as you can see, it took considerable self-restraint.)

I also have problems with this.

That's exactly the point of text speak. :)

I only do this when someone chastises others for their misspellings and grammar errors and then makes some of their own in the same post they are ridiculing someone else...

I find it amusing that people who bitch about the spelling of others have misspellings riddled through their postings... it is very amusing indeed to point them out
