How interesting that someone I have never interacted with even online has me "pegged". I wonder what her (and your) solution would be then, to the pure hatred that is held towards westerns by that particular religious group. I really have no patience for someone who thinks that everyone who follows a certain religion is a terrorist. You are completely wrong. I have no desire to even debate it with you, because when you get into the mud with racists, it is like getting in the mud with a pig, you both get dirty, but the pig likes it.

The metaphor can't be carried that far, because people aren't animals. Animals don't have religious extremism. Islam is an extreme religion, based on violence and hatred. Those who practice it are basing their lives on a religion of violence and hate. Therefore, yes, the only definitive solution is to completely end the practice of that religion by eliminating its followers.

I'm not saying I necessarily want it to happen. I do believe that it would solve a whole lot of problems, but I can't bring myself to care enough to say that I really want it to happen. I'm just sick of hearing about it on the news, I suppose.

Well i did not say for Obama to do it in honor of anyone. I said Obama should scalp him and keep it as a trophy, then mail the corpse back to whoever wants it.

I never said they're all terrorists, just that Islam is a problem. Heck, if all the current practitioners who aren't terrorists (of which there are many, I know) were to convert to something else or break off and turn their religion into a new one, that would be lovely. But Islam itself has a rather bloody history that continues to this day, and it's not going to stop anytime soon. In fact, I wonder how much more it will take before those practitioners who do not believe in the violence that it causes will break off and found a new religion that rejects those ideas.
