It is a duty of every individual to inform the other if they are putting them at risk higher than average (higher then average, meaning STDs which are not common. I am not talking about HPV here).

It is equally everyone's responsibility to practice safe sex and to ask these questions ahead of time. Or do you equally believe you don't need to practice defensive driving because it is the duty of every drunk driver to write that on their car in fluorescent paint?

And if you aren't capable of asking someone these highly pertinent questions then you ought not to be having sex with them.

We only had mutual oral sex without protection and making out.

This is what I meant in my earlier post about familiarizing yourself with safer sex techniques and to consistently use them in EVERY instance of fluid exchange. "Only" oral is a dandy way to spread all kinds of stuff including but not limited to chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, genital warts, herpes, yeast, trichomonas, urinary tract infections and to a lesser extent, HIV and a nice variety of the hepatitis alphabet.

Call me over-vigilant, but I do not even swap spits (open-mouth kiss) with anyone whose history I'm not certain of.

Either play by ALL the safety rules, or don't play at all. Certainly no fuck (or suck) is worth dying for. To me a fuck or suck is also not worth a course of antibiotics, antifungals, or antivirals. Find a safe activity that doesn't require barriers, or get comfortable insisting on barriers for every wet activity. Sheesh, 18 years in student health care and I'm still having to say this to grown "adults."
