I have a very extensive library, if the slave in question is in error they get to take all 5000 books down, dust them, dust the shelves and put them back in order.

We aren't that far along with him - he got the lecture about how punishment is not supposed to be enjoyable, and we aren't stupid ... and that he only gets one chance to correct errent behavior at this point.  He hasn't made the mistake again LOL

If I am to be really punished, I get the choice of impliment (none of my favorites) and then the number of strokes.  Then Mistress normally punishes me in the way she chooses, with her choice of impliment and her number of strokes anyway.  She is just interested to see what I consider to be right in that situation before she does her own thing.  Besides, she knows what is a real punishment for me and what is play.

I think the best one i've read in this thread is being on all fours having to count in 6's, i would literally go out of my mind. Also writing essays and reports that would also bore me to tears. The other one i think is effective is no contact for x days.

Giving pain, to a certain extent is easy to take, just hack it for x amount of mins and its over. Plus when getting pain there is some degree of adrenaline rush to most, and many secretly enjoy it.

I know of a Mistress that will starve a slave for a day for punishment, that is of course in a 24/7 environment.

But as a lot of people said already there is no perfect punishment, everyone needs a punishment tailored to their dislikes.

you get the Barney series on DVD, (ya know...purple dinosaur guy?) bind the slave so he's forced to watch a bunch of them.  You should go do something more enjoyable during that time.

For fun, you can have them write a summary of all the shows he watched and what lessons were taught or you could have the slave sing some of the songs and dance to make sure he actually watched em all. 

I would only use this type of torture in extreme circumstances.  It is quite cruel [:-]

That may be beyond cruel.... Just the thinking about that song makes me cringe...

I have also heard from a Domme that she would have her slave count the individual grains of rice in a box, or the noodles in a can of chicken noodle.

This are the sort of punishments that I believe would leave a lasting impression... Plus I would now which soups to buy in the future :)

ahh I see, lol. I thought it was some kind of medieval torture technique the way everyone talks about it as so cruel. Barney's nice I like him, used to cheer me up when he was on TV, I don’t own any of the DVDs though lmao.

Banishment and ignoring me never worked you had a worse behaved little girl after the ignoring than before.

Not that I ever misbehaved much, but when he didn't feel like dealing with me or just chose to plain not call that day my forgetfullness of my place was likely to be worse.  Igno*reing just doesn't work and does more harm than good.

Who'd have guessed Clare Asquith is on Collarme...  I'm kind of stunned that you'd be so open about your identity, but you must know what you're doing.

I don't have to punish him often at all but, yes, last week I did have to chastise Fox.

One of his responsibilities is to remind me to take my meds at 10pm at night. Sometimes I get so caught up in other things that I don't think about it for half an hour or a hour plus. That can increase the side effects later on so not a good thing.

I was in the middle of something and I didn't take it on Wednesday until I went to bed. Fox was red in the face before I even said anything; he knew he'd gotten caught up in something too.

I took it and said "This is gonna be a problem tomorrow morning and you really need to focus on this chore. You need to be chastised." I had him write out "Mistress takes her medicine at 10pm" fifty times.

Now here's where my past training, my constistancy and his own drive to serve and obey plays a huge role.

I went to bed. He went downstairs immediately and wrote out the punishment very neatly and laid it on breakfast stand for me to find in the morning. He labeled it as his punishment and what the punishment was for, dated and signed it. How do I know he did it right away? I heard him place it on my breakfast stand and Tom saw him. Regardless I knew he would have done it before anything else -- that's the rule and he values my values my rules as much as me.

But he isn't perfect. I have things I do at night, he has things he does at night, some of these are things we do together. As my slave though, his job is to make my mundane life easier and part of that is reminding me to take my meds or even fetch them for me. Like I've said many times, being a slave isn't easy but apparently it can be very rewarding and fulfiling otherwise why would folks do it.

Oh, and he hasn't forgotten since.

Forced exercise works. my Mistress controls my diet and She tells me what i eat everyday. At work they brough in pizza and i ate 4 slices. She was rightly upset when i confessed that night. She has me now doing 100 situps and 100 pushups and night so 200 situps and 200 pushups each day. this has keep me busy and tought me not to cheat.

I just love these 'discipline and punishment' threads.  I always read them hungrily.  OK, I admit it: the whole, central idea of it all gives me such a buzz. 

What's a little dismal, though, is this clear distinction people make between punishment and 'funishment'.  Damn.  Need it be so clear a distinction?  Aren't there shades of grey?

For me yes, there must be distinction and no there are no shades of  grey area's. However I suppose I should ask what you mean by area's of grey, and distinction.

And often times we are much harsher on ourselves that the D ever will be. IT's like one time this mom asked her kid who'd just taken his dad's car with out permission what do you think your punishment aught to be, and he said no driving for a year, and she said ok I was gonna say grounded for a month, but we'll go with your suggestion.
