I live just down the road from the hospital where the injured where casevacced to by helicopter. I've been there a few times when my partner was ill. At least 20% of the med staff there are identifiably muslim, so there are high probility a fair chunk that the surgeons nurses and consultans who won't be getting any sleep as they fight to save lives, limbs and senses tonight are muslims.

Blaming all muslims because one broken brained jihadi fuckwit decided to commit mass murder is just straight wrong. So fucking stop it.

Edit to add that wasn't aimed at lucy, dunno why it came up as that.

I was on the tube behind the one that was bombed at aldgate east on 7/7. It didn't make me hate muslims it reinforced my hatred of terrorists. Do i support administative detention of jihadi types? Yes. The 'wait till they try to aquire explosives' time is over. The mindset is the killer. But we are talking maybe 5k people in the UK. The vast majority of muslims are decent people raising families and doing a job. Blaming them for the actions of jihadis is fucking stupid.

Round the jihadis up and jail them for life, all good. Rant about the dude with a beard and a tan secretly wanting to kill us all, not good.

It's a lot more specific than that. You have to have come from the 'right' background and studied a certain version of Islam provided by a certain sort of preacher. All this needs to be meshed with a politicised, very radicalised, and basically extremely angry view of politics. The same has been true re the Bible and of many if not all Christian terrorists.

It has been posted here again and again that something like 90% of all violent conflicts on the planet involve Islam

No the UK has been on a high state of alert because of the threat posed by specific Islamic terrorist groups.

As has been said the Muslim policemen and women and the Muslim health workers will be dedicating their efforts to supporting Londoners every bit as much non-Muslims.

White Christians in London voted for a Muslim mayor who has voiced the thoughts of all of us when he said that "Londoners will never be cowed by terrorism".

Sorry Boscox but you get the feeling over here entirely wrong. Our Muslim brothers and sisters stand alongside us in condemning this kind of violence and in providing succour for those affected.

It's difficult sometimes not to be afraid but I know that my friends and relatives in London have no intention of giving the terrorists a victory by letting occasional but disturbing acts like this change their whole way of life.

Maybe on a day when people's lives have been torn apart by a senseless act, you could refrain from using it as an opportunity to pedal your hatred.

Er......no.

Every Muslim in the UK is no more a potential terrorist than every Catholic in Ireland was a potential IRA bomber in the past.

We have worked hard and continue to work hard to prevent terrorist attacks and maintain the peaceful coexistence of neighbours in our society.

By displaying this hatred I can't help but get the feeling that you are doing the terrorist's job for them by suggesting that a tolerant, pluralist society turns into a well of hatred and fear.

He was on his way to work, then because of his" speciality" he was called to the "scene", but he is fine, thank you, just busy.
As are a lot of people, working with those those who are hurting.

I just happened to be on the phone at the time with my sister and mum, as its my mums birthday today
