here troll---something for your (doubtful) edification.

communication is a challenge to begin with. online communication, perhaps all the more so.

its relatively easy for words to be missed, meanings to be misconstrued, etc.

however, when a relatively large number of people who have interactions with you here end up getting exasperated because of your inability to deal honestly and effectively with communication, and that happens over and over, any wise and thoughtful person on the receiving end of that would start to think, "hmmm, is it me?"

but you don't do that---to you, everyone ELSE is stupid and the thought never seems to occur to you, that hey, this is the 97th time by the 19th person, ive been accused of X, I really should take a good look at myself.

if I were a Vulcan, I could probably calculate the odds, but hopefully just asking the question will suffice. really, what are the odds of most everyone else being both wrong and stupid over and over and over, while you (apparently being the embodiment of both superior reason and encyclopedic knowledge) are always (minus those "five times you have been show to be wrong" of course) correct?

now, since I know you will not and perhaps cannot deal honestly with the above, i'll end with a more direct, less academically polite note---youre an insufferable, un-teachable, sociopathic troll.

You have trouble comprehending what you read and I don't read minds.
My post clearly stated s model.
All of your bluster and rhetoric compounds your ignorance.
Jesus you are phoquing stupid.

That was very punny.

The avatar is a good way to weed out a those with whom you are diametrically opposed in that particular regard.
It is a hot topic, with very strong opinions on either side.

Best of luck in your search.

Also, don't let anyone make you feel small. Nothing wrong with a .380. Or small hands.

ETA: I wouldn't put my finger on the trigger, unless I was aiming and shooting more than a pic, though. Just saying

You remember when Fiestien was waving a at-15 around from the House podium , wither finger on the trigger?
Meanwhile lecturing about her k knowledge of guns and gun safety.

Typo, that was ,of course , an AR-15 she was waving around.

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: Gun hating ignorant sluts... (4/23/2017 10:57:46 PM)

I remember the discussion about it and having a heck of a time opening links to it.

To be fair, I've caught myself with my finger on the trigger, but my gun has redundant safeties so before I can fire I have already adjusted my grip. It was a bad habit, that practice and confidence with my gun has me handling it better.

You would expect someone lecturing on firearms to not stand there holding the gun like that.

I'd also not expect a gunslinger for hire to be on a kink site openly admitting to killing for hire and posting on message boards about gun hating sluts, lol.

I've been here too long. I'm getting jaded.

You would think that before starting a lecture on guns you would know something about them but she didn't do that either.
I often find my finger touching the trigger. However I am touching the side of the trigger and not even able to pull it without pulling it around. Also I usually carry a single action revolver so you can't put enough pressure on the trigger
to fire it without pulling the hammer back.

Could be he actually was banned, and if he claims to be a professional killer he should be.
I doubt that he is though.
Anyone smart enough to be one and remain on the loose would be to smart to go around bragging about it.

I might be missing something here.

But is this saying that no one goes to the firing range or ever takes target practice, just figure it out when the time comes when you shoot deer or humans?

What "triggered" me was . . .

Had a g/f once with a S&W .38 she kept on top of the side table nearest the bedroom door, because that's where she slept closest to, bed partner or not. It took me 2-3 weeks to convince her to place it on the side table on the other side of the bed, away from the door. I hope I don't have to explain why to the audience here, but I had to do that at the time.

But at least I learned from my few gun-owning friends before and after to understand the difference between keeping one in the chamber with the safety in place or empty chamber with safety off. Any responsible owner wanted to prevent accidents by forcing at least one action before pulling trigger, so far as I was told.

The g/f and I left on good terms, we talked ourselves and spoke well of each other at parties years later, etc., but as it turned out, my next prospective g/f was a gun owner too, so I asked her if she kept one in the chamber or left the safety off.

"um, I don't know . . ."

I didn't go further. Too bad. She was a sweet lady, too. Had it not been for the immediately prior experience, I likely wouldn't have noticed or cared, wouldn't know enough to ask the question at all.

Too much potential for accidental/unintentional shooting for my taste, in both cases.

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: Gun hating ignorant sluts... (4/26/2017 7:07:52 AM)

Hi Edwird,

My personal approach, mine and K's is to have our firearms trigger locked, and in a locked box. The ammo is locked separately in a different lock box. All the above is locked in a carrying case. Except the rifles. They are trigger locked, with redundant safeties.

I don't own firearms for home safety. I don't own anything that I would kill to protect. I have insurance for that.

We have alarms on the doors and windows, and 3 dogs. No one is sneaking in.

I can't speak for all gun owners. We know that bad things happen. People aren't always the best individuals or the brightest or responsible.

Edwird -> RE: Gun hating ignorant sluts... (4/26/2017 8:15:55 AM)

I think too much is made of guns as for home protection, but that's just me. (Or maybe also a few millions others, but in any case . . .)

I agree, though, that there are other ways and means to have injurious or fatal accidents than firearms.

I am fortunate to live in a place where I don't feel the least bit threatened by home invasion (not even a simple unoccupied burglary has taken place in the complex the whole time I've lived here) , but I know not everyone is in that same situation.

I am looking forward to living in a place like you do, even though nothing to complain about here at the moment. I can walk for 70% of what I really need, bike or car for the rest. That will go away if I move to the mountains or beach, at least some of it.

I was never a fan of dogs when I was a child. There were no leash laws then, they harassed the neighborhood, I got tired of stepping in their poop when I was a kid, and I did not enjoy witnessing from 20 ft. away a pack of them ripping a kitten apart before my eyes when I was 8 yrs. old. That episode screwed me up for weeks; nightmares, etc.

But when I raised a rolled up news paper to a dog trying to rip my arm off (her teeth were digging in) and let her know I was about to crack her head when I was 14 (she was only trying to protect her home, even though the dumb thing couldn't figure out I delivered the newspaper every day {her chain had broken that day}), I lost my fear, and since then dogs strain leashes to get close to me, and not for biting. I just didn't understand dogs then, because there was no one to teach me. I hated dogs trying to lick me when I was a kid (you killed our kitten!), I only found out years later it's because they like me, and I learned that when dogs run in packs (before the leash laws), they are in survival mode, which might include establishing social rank sometimes by way of figuring out who gets most what of the kill.

I eventually figured it out; I don't hate dogs, they like me, they can lick my face all they want, etc. Just don't let them run in packs in neighborhoods.

Just saying, I would never have a dog or cat where I live now because I respect who they are, but if on land where they could roam as befits their station in nature, I can't imagine not having one or a few of both.

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: Gun hating ignorant sluts... (4/26/2017 8:58:14 AM)

I recently moved to the country, and I miss living where I could ride my bike everywhere. My dog misses it too. He ran alongside my bike, for up to 12 miles. The bike trails are awesome, winding around the river, through woods and around a couple lakes. It is all only 12 miles away, just means loading the bike and dog up and driving to the trails.

I can't imagine my life without Axel. He is a great companion and a good boy, except he is 60 pounds and thinks he's a lapdog. I'm glad you've overcome your fear of dogs. When I was pre-teen/teenager in Texas, homeless dogs running in packs were dangerous and a sad testament to the irresponsibility of humanity.

I live in an area where there are a number of burglaries and lots of drugs.
My portion of the area cut some of this out when a burglar found out the hard way that our neighbor had a pit bull, got his arm ripped real good for his trouble.
The thugs have gotten much friendlier with me since a Rott decided he was going to move in with me.
My last two dogs have chosen me, not at all the other way around.
Still if anyone is determined enough to get past my dog I don't want to waste time loading a gun or anything else.
Is it worth killing someone to keep them from raping or killing you?
You may not own anything that is worth killing them over but that doesn't mean
they don't thing it is worth killing you over.
Not only that but they are in effect proclaiming you to be thier property if they think they can walk in take anything they want and all you will do is buy more stuff for them to steal.
As for "needing" an extra action I have drawn twice and was able to determine that shooting would not be needed in time tonot kill anyone.

Edwird -> RE: Gun hating ignorant sluts... (4/26/2017 12:22:11 PM)

"We" just didn't know any better back then, about pet responsibility in urban areas.

The dog is okay at home, how could there be any trouble?

I can't remember how many times I heard "Aw, don't worry, he/she ain't gonna bite ya."

"No, it just barks viciously and terrorizes kids and while we're at it does in fact bite."

Most of the time dogs just bark and that's all there is to it, but after witnessing the kitten being ripped apart at an early I didn't get that.

I didn't just fear dogs, I hated them.

But we are in a better place with that now. I didn't understand nature then, I understand it much better now, and dogs and cats are our historical connection to it for the last few hundred thousand years or so.

I finally noticed; "So dogs didn't do a whole lot worse than humans with the urbanization thing, huh?"

If looking at the stats, they have made the transition at least as well as humans, probably better in fact.

BTW, don't you like being in a situation where you don't always need the leash or the scooper and bag? That's what I was talking about at the end of my previous post. Dogs are like dolphins on land, they love human companionship. Don't blame everybody from the '20s to '70s for being "irresponsible," we were ignoramuses about a lot of things then. Other kids and I were terrorized by dogs, so were my parents, but we survived. And we learned, hence the eventual laws that acknowledged the nature of animals, and that dogs require and in fact seek direction. And the nature of dogs has taught us other things about nature and about ourselves. They are our intro to what's out there in the woods.

If I ever had a brat, I would definitely get a dog to chaperone her/him into the woods, because I loved going there when I was a brat, and I probably would have explored even more things with that comfort of protection.
