My ex playmate was really in to his latex. He had a catsuit too. Although he is really bad at looking after his stuff, but he does look good in it, and puts stuff to good use when it tears. I like the feel, and texture, and I do own some myself. It's not my number one kink turn on though.

I'm not actually sure what is. I like pain with an element of fear. The ex playmate was particularly good at biting, which is a thing of mine, taking, and giving, to the point that he'd almost break the skin. I'm not sure it's classed as a kink though, but it most certainly does have to be done in a certain way to be effective.

My pain threshold is really high. I've been in chronic pain everyday of my life from being 13, so you'd think it would be the last thing to turn me on, but again, it has to be done in a certain way.

As for the multiple cum thing; both my ex, and ex playmate did that with me. I kind of just took it for granted until the ex pm asked me how I was doing that to him. I replied that he was saying this as though it had never happened to him before, and he said it hadn't. It was only then that it twigged that maybe this wasn't how it was for all guys. Doing that with my ex he managed to cum 9, or 11 times in less than 18hours. I don't remember the exact number now ... it could have been both at some point.

As a prop, or do you actually know people who can use those things on somebody without scarring and possibly maiming them?

Not as a prop. I know 2 men who can use them correctly.

I know several who can. There's a guy at Thunder in the Mountains (kink con) who does a scene with 6+ feet bullwhips almost every year (Thunder is about the only place you can do that indoors, because the dungeon is so big). He sometimes cuts the bottom to bleeding, and there's always going to be severe marking, but I haven't seen him scar or maim anybody yet.

A lot depends on the whip as well. In the kink community there's a lot of people who mistake signal whips for bullwhips, and use the terms interchangeably.
A 6' signal whip is going to be shorter than a 6' bullwhip (because on a proper bullwhip, the handle doesn't get counted towards the length of the whip, and is thus longer than it's stated length). That makes signal whips (usually) easier and safer to use.

On top of that you can now get bullwhips in as short as 3' lengths, which make them really quite safe and easy to use indoors. Although if you go with a whip that short I'd recommend a signal whip instead of a bullwhip. You really need 4' minimum to make a proper bullwhip move well, and even that's rather short. But on the up side, 4' bullwhips are really quite feasible for indoor use, depending on the space, and how you use them. They're super easy to control, and handle, which makes them quite safe. You could still seriously hurt somebody with one, but so could you also with almost every impact toy.

The tears of sacrifice.

...to me that is proof.

If you understand that, I have said enough. If you don't, we will need to start a different thread for it will take volumes to explain it.

Okay, note that topic is about what do you love to enjoy everyday without getting sick of it? Seriously you want to be bull whipped everyday?

Oh sorry. Missed that part. I used to be like Ishtar and always need/want fear but i kind of outgrew most of that although it is energizing sometimes. Now i would say the M/s relationship itself and our daily interactions. He can put my mind in 'subspace' where the only thing i am aware of in the world is Him/His voice with just a simple use of a phrase and/or a tone. The headspace that He puts me in is my favorite thing.

I'm ok with that. I kept the photos here to a minimum (had photos stolen in the past) but I can assure you that I own more than one latex catsuit :D

Well being a rubberist, I know 1 is never enough :), I am rather well stocked myself....somewhere in the 30s.

I happen to prefer four footers, myself. Not just because of the 'indoor'/ceiling height factor. It's also because of my height and my arm span. I've thrown 6' and 12' but never felt I have the skill for proper control. The greater lengths, it can be difficult to have appropriate practice space.

A proper whip relates to something that I call 'communing with leather'. (Yep, I just lost 90% of folks.) It's not terribly difficult to understand. It's very much like Doc was saying about the latex/rubber thing. It's not the external. It's rather internal, actually. It's all about how I interact with this thing that I can touch, smell, see the how it and I have come together. It's not about that other person.

As an object, a work of art in it's own right, a whip can be a thing of beauty. Something created by a craftsman. Just to see the perfection of the work.

As a tool, it will only ever be as good as the person who wields it. What can *they* make it do? Will it be what is often called "the kiss of the whip," gently brushing the skin, or will it cut a person, as though a person is torn open as though they are a fish to be filleted?

I agree. Zach and I have a pair of 4' matching signal whips, which we use to co-top (coming at someone from both sides with a whip like and seeing them dance back and forward to try to avoid it is LOADS of fun).
4' is really all we need. It handles well in the house, and in most clubs as well. I never feel limited by it, and you can still get a nice crack from it (for the scare factor of the sound, obviously).

I've handled longer whips than those, both bullwhips and signal whips, and they're really not my thing. I am never going to put the time and effort into handling a longer whip well enough for it to be safe for play, and the opportunities to use it would be severely limited.

I personally don't like the shorter 3' whips, because I feel I've actually got less control over them because of how short the swing on them is, but for the right person I can see them working well, if handling is adopted to accommodate the shorter length.
I think 4' is a happy medium sweet spot between the handling of a real whip, and gentler learning curve of a shorter one.
