Greta75 -> Heterosexual touching other Heterosexual (12/8/2017 5:54:41 AM)

Okay Neil Patrick Harris is obviously a gay man and is probably quite comfortable with physical contact with other men.

But I feel like his comments on this incident of a Democrat straight male friendly touch of a Republican straight male is not understanding how uncomfortable it is for some straight people to be touched by their own gender.

I am more sympathetic towards the republican reaction because he reacted exactly like I do, when a woman touches me. I literally would tell her, "I'm not a lesbian, I am homophobic, please don't touch me!"

I do that all the time! To women who get overly friendly on physical contact. I find it icky and my skin crawls. It makes me uncomfortable.

I used to have a girlfriend who hugs me upon seeing me because she knows I will stiffen up and push her away. And she'll laugh thinking it's funny saying that, "I love how much a hug disturbs you!"

And the way that dem touched him as shown in the video, would have made me just pull my hands away and move my chair further way from the woman beside me if she did that. And I'd just tell her like, "I'm sorry, I am not comfortable with being touched."

NPH said that his reaction is AS IF he thinks just another man touching him will turn him gay.

He cannot be more further from the truth. If I was meant to be lesbian, I have no objections to being one. Like no big deal, but I am not and I don't feel comfortable with a woman touching me.

End of the day, for me, it's the same for both men and women. Do not touch me! But men knows not to touch. It's the women that don't and I just don't want to be touched. So when your same gender cross boundaries, I know exactly how violated I would feel and I see it in this republican the same reaction.

I find it mean spirited for him to make fun of the rep obvious discomfort of being touched by another man. Like no human being should have the right to touch another human being without permission.

If a man touched me like that in SG, it would be molestation. If a woman touch me like this, I gotta give her the benefit of the doubt as she is a woman. But I would feel just as molested.

When did arms become erogenous zones?

You realize that making inferences about a co-worker's sexuality in any way is sexual harassment? Whereas simply touching a co-worker's arm (consensually or not) is not a crime at all?

Over here it is a crime if it's a male touching a woman's arm non-consensually like that.

And seriously, it's super creepy the way that dem touched that republican's arm. Imagine if he did that to a woman! He basically gently caress the arm.

I think the moment the same gender touch you, and you assume that person is not straight, it's not sexual harassment.

Why would you want to touch someone of the same gender at all?

I would have seriously jump if a female co-worker touched me like that!

JVoV -> RE: Heterosexual touching other Heterosexual (12/8/2017 11:01:23 AM)

This didn't happen 'over there'.
This did not involve a female being touched in her no-no places.
This isn't about you.

Why would you assume that a man married to a woman, with four children from that marriage, is not heterosexual?

Goodness I often hug people male, female gay and straight. Sometimes our customers give me a hug when they have not been to see us for a while. It is just a friendly gesture, I would never think of it as any thing else.

I'm not sure "erogenous zones" matter much.

If I walked up behind a lady in a bar and ran my fingers through her hair, it may not be illegal (but I think in a lot of jurisdictions, it might), but it's creepy as fuck.

As far as touching an arm (I can, sometimes, be that person that touches the forearm as I am speaking to someone, especially if we're sitting next to each other), I know companies (and I worked for one) where that type of thing was strictly verboten. No excuses. One warning. Second offense was a pink slip.

I'm not sure I know exactly what Greta's on about, honestly. I grew up in European immigrant families. We're huggers and, in certain circumstances, there's even kissing on both cheeks. It's just what we do.

Other than family, every Friday night, I play pool with a bunch of people (male and female) and there's hugs all around.

There's a psychological belief that as humans, we NEED fourteen intimate (not sexual. Hugs, handshakes, a slight rubbing of the upper arm like some do when they're trying to comfort someone) contacts per day to truly be happy.

Not everyone that touches you wants to fuck you, Greta.

Wow! You would REALLY be traumatized if someone just walked up and grabbed your pussy, wouldn't you?

Excellent explanation of what is 'standard protocol' among many people(s). And good response, that last.

Greta would have it that all Russians are homosexuals because they kiss cheek for 10,000 years.

Hugging is not having (nor about having) sex, or wishing for it; it is an expression of common joviality or conviviality when after not seeing each other for awhile, or after a fun night.

With family, it is about that and love, too.

Yep, it not just creepy, it probably could count as assault these days, but back when I "were a lass", it got you either a kick in the nuts or an elbow to the nose. I cannot imagine letting that pass.

Having hair down to my ass, its not uncommon for people to want to feel it, but most people ask.
I had a friend who did it once in a kink setting( I enjoy having my hair brushed, stroked...) but then he plunged his hand down my top and pinched my nipple... he got a bottle of beer thrown in his face and escorted out of the venue. He was later banned for being touchy feely and touching other women too.

JVoV -> RE: Heterosexual touching other Heterosexual (12/8/2017 7:08:51 PM)

Having seen the video, it's a fairly standard touch, on the forearm. Commonly done when you're trying to impress a point during conversation.

No doubt, the douchebag will now be a gay porn meme.

Lucylastic -> RE: Heterosexual touching other Heterosexual (12/8/2017 7:16:41 PM)

He made a total twunt of himself.
Talk about triggered snowflake having a hissy fit in public.
Maybe hes afraid of a gay man touching him like he treats and "touches" women.

Because of the way he caressed. It's not like a friendly tap. It's like a caress. And many gay men are married to a woman and with kids.

Some gay men actually do want family. And they could have family for family, and gay sex buddy on the side.

What has this got to do with anything to do with fucking?

It's my body, why should anybody be allowed to touch my body? That's sexual assault. A male touching a female body or a female touching a female body for any reason at all.

Lucylastic -> RE: Heterosexual touching other Heterosexual (12/8/2017 7:21:19 PM)

dumbarse its common assault, NOT sexual assault. and the video shows nothing sexual, ya idiot.
Only his response was of sexual nature by mentioning he is gay.

My pussy has been grabbed non consensually by a 14 yr old male who was just a stranger passing me by asking me for the time, when I was 10 years old.

Yes I fucking freak out. And as I fucking should! And unfortunately, my parents didn't teach me that, that was illegal, so I couldn't report him to authorities and send him to jail. Because at 10 yr old, nobody told me it was illegal and it's a crime.

But if it happens today, that man is dead.

In Asia, we know it's caucasian culture to greet with hugs.

So we don't really freak out about it, at most, we tell them politely that, we are uncomfortable with hugs so they won't do it in the future.

Or some just roll with it or don't mind it.

But that's why you won't get in trouble with hugs.

The way he caressed the rep arm is like a lover caressing his girlfriend's arm. So yes, it looks extremely sexual in nature. Its like a pervy man caressing a woman's thigh.

I doubt it was common. If it was common, the rep wouldn't feel so physically harassed and uncomfortable. That video only witnessed one touch which is the final one which made him blow up. But that dem must have been touching him alot for him to get so upset. As he mentioned he did it multiple times.

The rep was clearly extremely uncomfortable with another man touching him. And he has the right to be.

LMAO looking like "a lover caressing an arm", is NOT sexual assault.

fuck off with your ignorant shit.
