OK guys...be honest, how many of you exercise your right to call the shots and occasionally pitch the gals out of the kitchen, just because you know damned well you make the best "X" meal. (Stated while his spagetti sauce is simmering...lol). If so, what's that special meal that makes them go....wow?

My ex certainly did.  Unfortunately his favorite dishes were one of the millions 'pasta, tomato, cheese' concoctions out there, a dry pot roast cooked in wine with sage, and flank steak marinated in some form of asian sauces- none of which I enjoyed in the slightest.

I've known lots of doms who enjoyed cooking and took over the kitchen.  It's just my own problems of being an insanely picky eater.

Its not just a guy thing.  I toss the boy out of the kitchen on occasion when I have decided that I am aking some of my favorite foods, that he just doesnt get right.
My personal favorites... buffalo wings (usualy when I am entertaining), A concoction I call SouthWestern Dip, Veggie Lasagna and Baked Ziti.
I hapen to be a very good cook, so I enjoy getting into my own kitchen on occasion. I also like the fact that when I decide I want to cook for others, and not jsust he and I once I am down tehre, his campus buddies are more than wiling to help us eat *laugh*

My switch boyfriend is actually the Master of the kitchen.   He went to culinary school.  So I let him have it.  Though he tries to teach me.  *giggles*

LMMFAO.....OK DV, point made...it's not necessarily a guy thing then, it's just an "I'm taking over and Dominating the kitchen thing".

My Daddy is a wonderful cook and cooks whenever he likes. He enjoys cooking at times. I would love him to teach me his favorite recipes and styles. I love to bake personally. I love to bake cookies, cakes, pies and cobblers... I am an excellent baker. I love to make pretty baked goods too. I make a mean breakfast and can make things out of nothing.

Daddy has a well stocked kitchen with exotic appliances, spices, and utensils... some of which he beats me with while I cook...WEG

Sounds like he just was not aiming his cooking skills at your taste.

We live with the world's pickiest eater though. Jewel is so picky about some things you need an instruction manual to cook for her, hell it takes five minutes to learn how to fix her cup o noodles.

But we love Scooter's spaghetti, OMG it is about the best i've had which is a mouthful considering my previous owner was 100% Italian from Italy.

A ps to Jewel here; Mistress mine you have been wonderful about tasting new and different dishes and i am so very proud of you and happy you are finding things i can cook you love. To date she has tried and eats regularly, fried chicken with cream gravy, rosemary chicken and veggies, stuffed green peppers and chicken fried rice.

I am a very picky eater, who loves to cook.  My houseboy can't cook worth a darn, but he sure can clean!!!  And that's perfect for me :)

M. ST-

I almost never allow a woman to cook for me- in addition to knowing few that can actually cook well, they get their feminine emissions in the food, which can sap our manly virtue<g>.

I have a pretty wide range, but for a blow-their-mind meal, I 'd likely go with a few specialitys:

A marinated (Soy and Wasabi) tuna steak, slow cooked rare, with lighty blanched broccoli in butter and garlic.

Monkfish Francese with an  Armenian rice pilaf, and green beans.

Chicken Scampi over linguni, with a stir fried vegtable melody.

I'd start most with a blonde on blonde onion soup, and for desert, just coffee and sweets...

Stay warm,
Lawrence

I plan the weekly menus for us and somethings he is better at and other things I'm better at. I tell him on the days he is cooking and he never has a problem with it at all. We also have an excellent system that who ever cooks the other does the dishes.

I have only been thrown out of my kitchen once - it was this previous Valentine's Day when my Dom called my mother to get her recipe for beef enchiladas.  I miss Mexican food so much now that I live on the East coast.

I was nervous, with all the noise he made cooking, but it was divine.

LOL this happened to me last night.  My husband had some friends over and because I love to cook, usually do the majority of it.  He was hovering...trying to be helpful and I just told him to get out of my kitchen.

He's not bad in the kitchen either but when I want to cook...everyone get out.

I also have no problem with those who are skilled and want to cook for me "ordering" me to relax while they do so ;)

OK..I admit...I do like to cook on occasion, but "twice" still gets the luxury of cleaning up the mess..lol.

Damned TC, I think your variety of ass kickin meals might blow mine away, but my spagetti is still to die for...lol. Must be a biker thing, maybe we learn early that if we don't want to scarf off the roadkill, we better know how to cook. I have no issues with "twice" whipping up a meal", some of her meals we just stuff ourselves with, but when you have a specialty...it's cool to flaunt it.

I can cook anything and now that my kitchen is finally finished I've got neighbors asking if they buy the ingredients I request; would I cook for them again?  LOL

...and coming from the restaurant business, I know PLENTY of guys who can cook!  I know one M/s couple where He does 99% of all the cooking (but little cleanup; he IS Dom, afterall)  LOL

I think I just fell in love with TopCat, though.

And...julia?  Does this mean you're a masterbaker?  hummmmmmmmm???
