ORIGINAL: ocilla Sappa - that moth is gorgeous! have you figured out its name etc yet? I'm calling it Mothra... out of respect for it's ancestors from years past that have graced us each year at this time. It's so frelling big that it also reminds me of the legendary actor from those classic Japanese made Godzilla movies of days gone by. :) I will continue my search, though, for it's real scientific and common names... if I must. Mothra is just so damned easy though. Oh, I love it's colors so much that I'm thinking of repainting my PT Crusier in a similar paint scheme (in a pattern to match the lines of the car, of course). http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/map?_fc=1&x=277&y=187 has interactive florida map that may be helpful Like minds think alike... I had already started using this site... and actually found the little beautiful creature... before I read your post. Here's the page for this lovely thing. I can't believe how docile it is. The dog has tried to get it to move... I've touched it... and it still continues to hang on. Now, I know why... it feeds at night and goes into a mini hibernation during the day. I still think my car will look great with these colors on it... :)
