Let me do a bit of research into the glass.  Its veyr pretty, but honestly, I think it is a patina of some sort.  Is it greasy or slippery at all to the touch?

Aye..unfortunantly my possible interesting glass is nothing but a plain old clear bottle.....I decided it needed some warm water to clean off some dirt, and off came the shimmery stuff too. Bummer...Im assuming maybe leftovers from the oil based perfume that may have once been in the bottle? The irridescent film was only on the inside of the bottle....should have been my first clue...oh well...

Status: offline 		I believe that could be true, or it could be "weeping" glass, where there is not enouch CaO to stablize, and it gets replaced by H+ and forms NaOH or KOH giving it a slippery surface.

Or, it could be "sick" glass - inherent vice that gives it a sheen.  This just means that the formula was inorrect.

Or....the irridesence "rainbow effect" of weathering crust results from interference between rays of light reflected from thin alternating layers of air and weathered glass crusts...

But, don't wash the patina off!  Many collectors like patina!!

Well, not really.

Donna and I have both decided that We're needing some time away from CM. It just doesn't hold the same appeal for Us as it once did. The people We want to talk to have Our emails, IMs and cellphone numbers... and frankly, there are things We want to spend time on rather than catching up on a single thread or answering the same questions over and over again.

This isn't about any individual or group of persons. It's about Us.

My involvement with KQ will also be rather limited. I plan on finishing the clean-up on the sex-magic section of http://ekb.kinkyqueer.net and promoting it (and by extension KQ's web services) amongst that other WIITWD I'm involved in over the next few days. To be immediately followed by a period of silence. Or would that be "Period of Silence?"

Right now, we're going to try 2 weeks. It might be longer, but it definitely won't be less.

I wonder why some people can do needles and others can't.  I've never been able to stand a needle in my arm, or watching the vial fill. My stomach actually turns at the thought...insofar as the thought of needle play makes me want to join a convent.  I don't know why; it just terrifies me.

Status: offline 		needles and blood make me pass out...which is bad since it has to happen rather regularly at the docs. But the keep a reclining chair open for me and ice bags for the back of the neck and alcohal wipes for under my nose to bring me back.....

Back when my UM had the stairs accident...it was bad..I was terrified because I knew I had to get off the floor and get him to the doc and yet everytime I looked at his face Id start to black out.....

Status: offline 		Growing up, we had an excellent family doctor who knew how to give needles and makeit seems painless. He was one of those typical contry style doctors who had a great personality towards treating his patients and had this knack for making a terrified UM feel special. I think this developed my indifferent attitude about getting nedles and never developed that squick factor!
