Status: offline 		I suspect it may have to do with the heat and humidity. If foods are not kept at the proper temperature or are held to long before serving bacteria grows. This is one reason when ever I have fast food I special order it. Chicken, Egg and Tuna sandwiches tend to be the biggest culprits because of the mayo used. Beef has to be held at the proper temperature under heat lamps to remain safe. Certain vegetables like avocados are also great mediums for bacterial growth. Sushi and Sashimi should never have a strong fish smell and should be cold to the touch without ice crystals.

Please..be careful... dehydration happens faster than you think once food poisoning enters the picture with the bowels and vomiting involved. It can take as lottle as an hour to dehydrate..drink clear fluids, call your Doctor for an anti-diarrhea medication if the over the counter ones don't work.  I do NOT wnat to lose any of you to Food poisoning and it CAN  kill if your system is already compromised or you become dehydrated.

Every time I hear or see an ambulance on a call I say a Prayer..

That may they be alright, may their familes be comforted, and Bless those who serve.

People look at me oddly when I cross myself ( darn Catholic upbrining it sticks with ya even when you convert to Hinduism.. LOL ) and begin muttering the prayer. My Girl found it off putting and would try to talk to me while I was doing it.. Lord would that tick me off.

Such a small thing to take a quick moment and pray for people.

Potty - bless your heart, sweetie.  My dear friend from grade school rode the rescue squad for more than 10 years, and saw her fair share of sadness.  Then she became a cop, and is now a special investigator in child abuse cases.  It takes a special kind of person to deal with the things of this world that make most of us sob to think about.

Gwyn - I pray, too, when I hear sirens.  The other morning, there were 3 Medivac helicopters parked on the 2 lane highway I take to work, taking the victims to the hospital.  A dump truck went up an embankment and fell on top of a minivan.  That was a terrible thing to see.

I can not express how much I hate hate hate riding the bus.

First 2 buses never came. I got fed up and walked after over an hour of standing there ( no bench) like a moron and went down to the next main street quite a few blocks down. I almost got across the street when my very late bus buzzed by me.

I could have made sailors blush.

Finaly got a different bus, and picked up my xfer. On the way home the bus was running so late 45 mins late in fact.. that I hopped another bus that I *thought* went down town. Whoops.

3 1/2 hours later I end up at home. At 7:45pm removing neighborhood ner'e do wells from my door that spent those hours tormenting my um at home and his BFF.

Um has melt down because I am usualy home before him.. and he wants that back. I am also officaly starting college now.. ( got my acceptance letter in my hot little hands! ) which means less play time for us.

Gods I need a car. They can mail me that check anytime now.

We recently had a drunken bitch go the wrong way on the crosstown expressway and kill a mother, and put the wee little um in the hospital with massive Head Trauma and crushed legs.

It makes me want to track the drunk down and *grumbles* I am not going to finish that thought.

Last time I went to Daytona with the um ( Go Nascar!) we had a SUV flip 2-3 times right infront of us. He landed in the median thank gods... on really wet/muddy ground. I pulled over to do what ever I could. It was amazing.. he was shooken but he got right up, and walked away from it. ( even against my telling him to be still ) I began praying the second he started Hydroplaning. Just maybe it helped. My poor um was freaked out. But when all the Rescue folks arrived.. and said the guy was fine it became neato.

Status: offline 		I hate it that there are people here who are hurting, sick, frustrated, and out of sorts.

I hate it that my boss (who is a former classmate and friend of mine) said that she wants to hear my side of a one-sided political discussion that continues to flow at the office.  I told her that I'm an Independent, that I have views that span both sides of the aisle, and that I have to try and see which things are more impt. to me at the end of the day when I go in to vote.  She just can't believe that I'm not falling on the floor, ready to vote for her personal fave, so she'd like to hear what "other people" (read that tongue in cheeky as "idiots") think.   

I don't want to turn our office/gals night out in DC Friday into some uber-political shitfest.  I just want to go out, enjoy dinner on the firm's dime, and not have to think.  What the heck is so wrong with that? 

I don't want to be the weird one, but thanks to some introspection in the past several weeks, I feel like I'm better prepared to go head to head with her if necessary.  Poor thing, she doesn't know about line 2 of my signature because we never "go there."  However, she's brilliant, and this could prove to be the intellectual death match for me, one that I may truly enjoy.

(See?  I can't even decide whether I want to debate or not!  How the heck am I going to pick a President?)

I hate being sick, feeling too tired to move, feeling like I have the plague. looking like shit. (Vanity thy name is Asher)
I hate that in a few weeks my um will no longer be living with me, she will be going with her mom, at least I got to be ther for her first birthday, but how many will I have to miss?
I hate that people either want to ask over and over why I am not fighting for custody or tell me that she is going to use her like a bargaining chip.
I hate when people get what they want, walk away from it and then get sad when they realize that they cant have it back just because they say they are sorry
I hate that my own anxiety about my father is getting in the way of my happiness about finally moving home
I hate that when my grandmother sees me I know she will think I am him first and scream out, or cry, or worse and I cant do a damn thing to stop it.
I hate that I have to carry yet another supervisor through her fucking job just so I can get the tools to do mine.
I hate that I cant be happy for my own mother advancing because I know that as we work for the same company it stops be from being able to.
I hate that the only real emotions I can seem to bring up right now are anger, fear and lust.
I hate feeling like I am living in a world that no matter what I did nobody would notice unless I fucked up, then everyone sees
I hate that my grandmother sees me as a fuck up, as someone who can never do anything right, and yet my cousin who (with his woman and child) are now living in her house because they got evicted for not paying rent for over two months because they refused to get a job that was "beneath them" is "just having a hard time"
I hate that I cant talk with my friends without the conversation turning to the shit Ravel did to me, or might do to me or the um.
I hate this nasty obsessive lonlieness I feel when I am not talking to someone and I hate more the feeling of burdening someone else, I post this here because reading it is a choice, so I figure I am not unduly burdening anyone.
