Oh Red I so wish I could make it better for you. I know how hard it is to deal when you are the only parent and how horrid it is when so many depend on you that when you go back to the well for just a little more energy, a little more ability to cope and find that well bone dry. You are a phenomenally fantastic woman, and while there are many things we can't do from so far away, know that we will each do what we can to help. Contact me if there is anything that I can do, even if it is only offer some suggestions and a listening ear. I have some very broad shoulders.

Know that each of us will bring a cup of water (laughter, listening, hope and prayer) to help you re-prime that pump and refill your well.

Please also know that there are people and services out there who can help with Dad's PT, and carpooling parents who can help with getting the Things home safely. I know how hard it is to think when it seems everything is piling in and on at one time, so I would love for you to do one more thing..but this time for yourself.

Place a couple of candles and a player of your favorite music in the bathroom...fill the tub with water at your favorite comfort level, bath beads (bubbles or bath oils (even baby oil)) and tell the things they are to do things quietly in their room for 1 hour. Then take a snack of fruit, cheese and crackers, a good book if you want one and 1 (ONLY!) glass of wine into the bathroom, close the door and relax for an HOUR. Not less than 1 hour. Add hot water as needed and just RELAX and RENEW. No phones, no questions, no knocks unless someone is on fire.

DV...forget the foreclosure sites... Here's where you need to check

1. Realtor choose one with MLS online and check them for what you are looking for.
2. http://www.buyowner.com/ Buy Owner costs nothing to check out local listings. Many who have to sell before foreclosure are listed.
3. http://www.hud.gov/homes/homesforsale.cfm this is the HUD web site and lists everything you need to find and buy a home from those they have foreclosed on. It is free. Some need some repairs, BUT those repairs are calculated and money is held in escrow from your winning bid. there are also links for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as well as Realtor.com there, as well as US Marshal's (they handle auctions)
4. Your Local Newspaper.. Most list local foreclosures and auctions weekly.
5. Your bank may have a listing site as well, ask at the bank, don't do it by phone.

i hate that i still don't have something in the mail from poen yet. (the post office really fucked up this time i think, probably one of my neighbors has already opened up and used the bath bomb grrrrr.)

Yah I get those cmails every once in a while too.

I found out Sunday one of my few remaining uncles died, that same day a cousin committed suicide. He left no note and no one knew he was in such emotional pain. The aunt of my deceased uncle went to go tell him what happened and found him hanging in the garage.

My family is shrinking. I know thats only natural and a part of growing older is to lose those even older than me, but.. it makes me sad.

Out of 17 kids only my father and one other uncle remain alive.

It makes me feel like I've wasted so much time, just let so much life slide by me without noticing. That I should have made an effort to be closer to my family despite all that happened.

Sorry for the maudlin post.
I'm going to wrap up in RRs robe and go sit on my balcony while enjoying this (new to me) warm winter weather. Its so weird to have green leaves, no snow or bitter winds. I am glad I moved... mostly.

GT..my love...you are NOT da Chicken..No FRYING. Tell your boss he now needs to make sure there is a portable sump pump for use in situations like this..your back is far to valuable.

Cravesdom...always remember in case of emergency battery needs..The battery in the Remote for the TV, DVD player etc..is a goood place to look. Some of them are AAA's, especially the smaller remotes.
