afraid i missed this yesterday - answering too many "your name will never be spoken amongst us" (doesn't matter to me ...I'm still Irish and my own individual).

anyhoo - i'm not stirring up anything. naming names - nah, first rule as a journalist, never give up your sources which i'm surprised none of you could clearly see.

second, it wasn't bitterness or resentment - i could have gone that route but nope, i took the adult way and graciously stated my point of view. but i forgot - if you're not with the in-crowd, stating a certain point of view is against the rules.

and lastly, i didn't do this to "ruin" anyone's afterglow (as you call it) but you did make it seem as if this was the only thing that mattered in the world and anyone else who didn't make the event were "poor saps" (direct quote from another poster).

so i decided to speak up for them ...those who wanted to say what i said but couldn't. it's no fun being the martyr but someone has to do it.

shooting a person down for being honest - i can handle it. i have my big girl panties on.

No...sorry, i am not doing that at all. Your opinion, unkind and just plain mean, was followed by the mention of your own wedding. To me this smells of the green eyed monster.
Personally...i love hearing about the wedding, about friendships being strengthened and bonds formed. I love looking at the pictures and seeing the genuine smiles on the guests. I just love it when others are happy and would never thing of making a nasty post stating it was not all wine and roses. i spoke an opinion that seems to ruffle more than a few feathers amongst the in-crowd. i was only stating what needed to be said. nothing more or less.

yes, i mentioned the fact i'm getting married but no one wants to read every tiny detail. ad nauseum to the point that it dominates every thread in here.

it wasn't petty, mean, attention seeking, etc etc etc - if i wanted to be all that i would have started my own "wedding of the century" thread a long time ago.

so what do you think of the Pennsylvania winters? I am a little pissed about them right now, Chris. I posted earlier Jim totaled our SUV during an ice storm two weeks ago and a windstorm resulted in a fried computer on Friday. Damn winter shit is expensive!!!!!

holy shit girl! it sucks when it starts getting expensive like that. there aren't ice storms out west so this is a completely new animal for me and i have to say it just amazes me each time there is one just because it is something i've never seen before. (whilst trying to walk across the parking lot at work after the last storm, i got accused of dancing

). and it seems with the humidity here, the cold temps seem colder. i'm holding out for spring and summer...i look around and see all the trees here and know it's going to be gorgeous when they are all in full "bloom" so to speak.
