ya know what, girls? In the sweetest way possible...enough!!! Failure my ass! As moms, we do our best, because we love them more than we ever thought was humanly possible. Hell...we even love them when we have to stand on our hands to keep from throttling them.
The failure is in not trying.
You guys sound like great moms and your kids are blessed to have you.

No matter how hard you try you will mess up and your kids will be in therapy in their 20's or 30's. If you cant handle that then dont have kids.

It's so much harder to raise a child at this time than it was when my daughter was little and it was tough then!  I was babysitting on Sat. night so my daughter/son-in-law could have some "quality time" and as they left I told them to BE CAREFUL driving, I had NO desire to raise another child not to mention THREE!

I could tell just by watching you in FL w/MoGa that you're a good person and the same selfless qualities you exhibited then will carry over to your children, Doll.  Don't lose faith in yourself as a parent.
I have good news & bad news.  The bad news is that they grow up to be moody teen-agers. The good news is that......the good news..........uh, I'll get back to you w/the good news once I can think of something that's good about having a teen-ager.

Status: offline 		  You obviously haven't met my monsters yet, holly.... There are times when I wished I hadn't behaved and did throttle them. 

However, on the other hand, my logic does say that I did everything I humanly could and then some. I kept them fed, dressed, sheltered and cared for, taught them everything I could think of that they might need to know for life and if along the way, I was a bitch and a hard-nose about some things, well, we have to be as a parent. They don't see it now but maybe in the years to come they'll see how much I love them and tried to do the best for them. Even if they didn't like it!

Doll, the same will happen with yours. In time, hopefully with maturity and responsibility, they'll see how hard you've worked and what a great mother you really are!

When they have their first screaming infant in their arms, they will look at mom with tears in their eyes and say, "I'm sowwy" as they try to evade the mothers curse!

  Hey, Lushy, is that why I decided years ago that if my monsters decided they hate me that it was ok, that I did my best and if they can't see what I did and why I did it, then it was THEIR problem and not mine?

(It still hurts at times but I made a conscious decision to move on with my life - something else that pissed the holy snot outta them..... tough bananas!)
