i don't know how far the (SEPTA) train is from you but the R1 goes to the airport.

You know I broke off with Warden, am living on unemployment, my mother has ALS and just retired and can barely talk. Now my little sister has breast cancer. It is slow growing. A lumpectomy will be enough. But I am overwhelmed by life right now.

Unfortunately, the two who specifically have the Skills (ie, they're both CNAs) are also the two people who are specifically riding With Me to get to the week long event.
 
On the up side - we (myself and the 2 riding with me) had intended to take the 18 yr old "spare" sitter with us to this event - but her parents are absolutely Dead Set against her leaving state for a week without one or both of them in attendance as well.  Since they've suddenly put the kabosh on her going (which she doesn't know yet, but they've let ME know about, since they are my age) - I've kinda sorta given her a heads up and gotten her to agree to stay here with day for that 8 days "if" her parents inform her that she can't go.  After their talk with me and 1 of the two who ARE going / riding with me - letting us know that she's definately Not going to be going, but they aren't going to let her know that until just a couple of days prior to when we're due to leave (like - telling her on Thursday, when we're supposed to hit the highway at 8am Saturday) - the problem has mostly been solved.
 
My regular "sitter" is going to come over for a couple of hours a day to "hang out" with dad and give her a couple of hours of uninterupted time to herself each of the days that I'm gone.  The hospice nurse is going to come out every day as well, rather than the twice a week she's normally by to check on him, and the aide that gives him his showers 3 days a week is going to maintain her regular schedule with him.

No one can blame you for feeling like this.  i went through some similar stuff(though not as seriuos) myself recently, and found that as much as i love the boards...at one point i needed a bit of "quietude" to deal with how i really felt about those things that were bringing me a bit down.  You know you have the support of so many people here.  i love you...and i promise you hugs, a shoulder to lean on, and a listening ear when you visit next month.  You are the eternal romantic, and the eternal optimist....but even you are allowed to lean on friends from time to time.
