  I really hate to agree with holl-parts but .... she's right. Considering that I'm still working on getting my foot healed from the most recent breakage. Plus, as someone who has permanent inner ear damage and an imbalance problem, I'm always staggering, falling and sometimes just toppling over for no apparent reason. So I know all too well about falling.

NOW - get to a doctor's at least to have it checked out.  (Please?)

That is a lie.  I have broken my ankle and broken my foot twice.  I was able to walk on all of them.  It was not the most pleasant of feelings, but it was do-able.

Let us all know what the x-ray says. 

And think of it this way . . . your amigas can push you in a wheelchair!  See. . . even a broken foot can serve you in all your domliness.  LOL

Status: offline 		I am home and yes, it was broke. I see an ortho next week and he will decide what to do from there. I guess I am still in shock over this. *Sigh* They talked about surgery and all I could say was no, you cant do surgery. My plalette count is down to 66.

Thank yall for your concerns, they were well founded. Aylee, I dont want to be pushed in a wheel chair, I want to go swimming and have a good time with them when they come here

Damn did it ever hurt!!

Status: offline 		MoGa is back from the ER, she has a broken bone in her foot, but due to the location of it, it was hard to visualize.  They put a half cast on her, non-weight-bearing, and she is to see an orthopedist some time this week.  Hopefully the ortho will put a walking cast on it.  They wouldn't give her crutches, because, as the nurse said, "how will you see where you're going?"

Oh and thanks for the idea of the office chair! GREAT idea! It would have taken 2 hours to get from car to apt, had it not been for the chair. I found out that I can't get the wheelchair til tomorrow or Tuesday. Sheesh..

I cant wait for yall to come, but I dont want either of you frettin' over me! Well..ok..just a lil bit *s*

See if they will put one of those removable boot things on it.  That way you can still go swimming, you will just have to be careful.

My sister-in-law calls and starts talking with OUT telling me who it is on the phone first.  And then starts talking about stuff I have NO clue about.  Then starts bitching about her doctor screwing up because he did not diagnois her right away.  Well, yeah, umm. . . you HAVE to have at least an ultrasound to see into a uterus, ya twit.  And then. . .informs me of how "bad" it is by telling me that "they even used DYE for my CT scan."  Really now?  Knock me over with a feather and call me Pocahontas!  They used DYE in your CT scan?  That must have been one serious CT scan!  Explains why there are several companies selling contrast injectors for CTs though.  ARRRRGGGGHHHHH! 

I did try to explain about the CT scan and the need for at least a sono in looking at a uterus.  The attempt went no where.  I apparentl just do not understand how those machines work.  (I will call my boss later and let him know this.) 

The point to the conversation was. . . apparently a 4th cousin (my guess as to how close the relationship would be) that no one here has ever met is coming for a visit in August, September, October, or November.  She could not remember which one.  Ooooookkkkkaaaaaaayyyyyy.  Of course this is all coming from the woman who has not been able to find time to meet her niece.  But that is another long story.  Oy Vey! 

And people wonder that I smile that MY side of the family is all at least 800 miles from me.  WOOT!

Status: offline 		Yanno, I figured that when we (MoGa and I) go to Florida, we would have early boarding via the white cane and all, and some schmoe wouldn't be whacking the back of my knees with his much-too-large carryon as I walked down the aisle of the plane.

Now if we add in a walking cast... hmmm... this could get interesting.  If the ortho does NOT put on a walking cast, though, and leaves her wheelchair-bound... hmmm... off to ponder this one.

Sweetie, I'm a fat chick and I'm a phat chick.  I'm thankful that I no longer sit and criticize my body anymore.  I'd like it to be smaller and more in shape, but you know what?  It's mine and I work it like a rock star if I feel like it.  I wear cute clothes and sexy clothes and plain old mom clothes, whatever floats my boat at that particular time.  If I feel adorable, it will show, regardless of my size.  If I feel like poop, it will also show, regardless of my size.

Whatever my dress size, I still have a decent head on my shoulders, a smart mind, and a big heart.  The same goes for you, sweetie.
