Status: offline 		I have just returned from a shopping expedition.  Butterhead now has her first pair of rain boots.  Hot pink with purple flowers on the top.  She picked them out herself.  Now maybe the other mommies at the park will quit glaring at me for letting her run through the puddles and egging their children on to join her.

awww...how CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!

And as to the other mommies...*snort*...not a chance!! Their lil darlings will not have boots, lil Butterhead will, and she will still have them puddle jumping. The only difference is BH's feet will stay dry.

Gotta tell you, Aylee....if you were not on the tippy top of the playground mommies shit list...you are there now!!!

Status: offline 		i used to love the puddles :o) but my playground was a lot our forest anyway,so mud became my middle name :o) i was considering to buy my nephew crocodile wellies...but then decided it's a bit too early (as my brother isnt as much into planning ahead,as i am :o)

I have tried to tell the other mommies that mine is washable, I ordered her that way.  I also do not buy her $75 jeans to play in the park in, there by keeping me from worrying about her "ruining" her play clothes.  Personally, the playground mommies shit list is just fine with me.

Yanno...doesn't it make you wonder who the moms are out to impress? The lil ones certainly don't care what they wear for play...they just want to play!!

Actually, if you ask the kids i am certain they will tell you they would be happy in old, beat up clothes. That way, they can act like CHILDREN and not have someone worried they are going to get wet or muddy.

The LO does not wear designer clothes, but he also is never in tatters either. The bottom line...the clothes mean nothing in the scheme of things. Playing, having fun, interacting, letting their imaginations go wild...those are the things that matter. If the clothes are ruined, toss them and get over it.

Good for you, Alluring One!When my kids were small and I took them to the park to play in the dirt and roll in the grass and jump off the swings (yes, I actually showed my kids how to "bail out" of a swing, abusive father that I am), I could not believe how many times I heard mothers say "Now...go play and don't get dirty!"

If Butterhead was given the choice, she would not wear clothes at all.  Or would never change out of her favorite jammies that are frankly too small.

That is why you do ot put them in the picture clothes until 15 seconds before you snap the picture.  It is just not worth it.
