I admit it... I'm hoping customs agent/director Hunt in calgary gets fired and his entire life gets ruined. After talking to him today, he's just a combatitive, rude, argumentative asshole who is looking to start a fight anywhere.

I admit also that after that and him snobbishly saying "There isn't any supervisor above me. What, do you want to talk to the president?", that I did indeed send an email and regular letter to both my senators and the white house, and called the head office of border partol (with whom I filed a formal complaint, and played the recording of the call. It's handy to have your own pbx server. The lovely lady I spoke with there did not seem amused by his antics) and both the US and Canadian consulates general. Both of the directors we spoke with are very friendly and helpful. Hopefully that will help get this resolved.

I admit that I don't believe in chain of command. Either it gets solved at the source, or, save time and just go straight to the top to get shit done.

I admit that I have spent the last few days reading every last damn visitation and even immigration law and by-law I can that may even be remotely related to the situation, and the reasons the agent gave are absolute and total bullshit.

I admit that I can't say what I want to do to him for fear of going to a federal pen for a long time.

I admit that, all I really want is for my pet to be home with us where he belongs. Is that really too much to ask?

EDIT: I also admit that I'm more than a tiny bit pissed off that we let people on planes with bombs... no, not JUST bombs, but DEFECTIVE fucking bombs, but can't let a harmless and adorable and loving sub from fucking Calgary on a plane so he can be home for christmas.

BK... when I was driving trucks and made fairly frequent trips across the US/Canadian border (and I think I've crossed at every point large enough to accommodate a semi), my informal conclusion was that with very, very rare exceptions (and those few shine all the more for their rarity) I felt that the usual US agent sent to work the Canadian border are the rejects from EVERY OTHER FORM of law enforcement... down to the school crossing guard in that little town that doesnt even HAVE crossings to guard. And during their trek from rejection to rejection, the steroids they were taking to try to boost their increasingly deserved emasculation has led them to not only have shrunk their junk, but have begun to regress inwardly.

i admit that i made a grilled cheese sandwich with 2 slices of cheese instead of the usual 1.

i admit that with the first bite, most of that second slice of cheese gushed out of the sandwich onto the table in front of my computer.

i admit that i was lucky that it missed the keyboard!
