it is tomorrow, but i don't have a time yet.

Dr Doom was a lil concerned by the bruising/abrasions on my feet, so they were x-rayed yesterday. Both feet have fractures.

No more x-rays, damnit!! If it is fractured, i do NOT wanna know!!

Status: offline 		Holly- I am disturbed that you weren't checked over more thoroughly while you were in the hospital.  They must have dumbasses writing the orders and even dumberasses reading the x-rays.

However, if it would mae you feel better my son was chennelling you yesterday in gym.  He was goofinf around on a stack of mats and fell, leaning with his hand beneath him.  Needless to say, afte 4/5 hours in emergency he came home with a fancy cast.  Personally, I think it was a ploy to get out of practicing his clarinet. *le sigh*

YDD...this was the best trauma center in the country!!

I called a bud yesterday who works there and asked her to read the x-rays they took in ICU. The x-rays showed the collarbone in 3 pieces, nearly on top of each other. They also showed a fracture of the Humerus. Yet...when i talked to the ortho fool prior to D/C i was told there was NO fx of the Humerus and the clavicle was a "simple fracture" that will heal on its own. They recommend i return for a follow up in 4 weeks. I went to my ortho because the swelling in the upper arm was alarming and the clavicle just plain HURT!

Dr Doom thinks there is a tear in the Rotator cuff. Had i waited the 4 weeks, the tear may have been unfixable. I never, ever would have expected this from that hospital. Never. I hope anyone reading this never assumes the hospitals reputation makes them safe.

I hope your son is ok, Sweetie. I can bet his injury was worse on you than on him!!

Status: offline 		holly, we have several really good hospitals here.  you can stay with me for a few weeks while you recuperate, if you want.  I have a wheelchair ramp on the house, and there are no stairs.  However, i do have a large kitchen, from which you will be banned, should you decide to stay here.

Don't worry Holly...over here the newspapers are full about hospitals being rated as excellent but performing appalling...so days I believe anything easily such as trusting a hospital due to rating or reputation are long over

Status: offline 		Holly - I am just glad you pushed the issue.  But I am still thinking that whoever read the xray and came up with only a simple fracture of the collarbone - must not have a lot of experience reading xrays.

In the meantime .........
