Status: offline 		I admit that I'm back for a hot minute and I have missed goofing around with you lovelies this week.

I admit that I hope that Kyttyn's stepmom is going to be ok.

I admit that I send love and huggles to everyone.

I admit that I have been up to my eyeballs in school stuff and work this past week.

I admit that I will be up to my eyeballs in doctor appointments this upcoming week.

I admit that tomorrow, I have to take Thing 2 to the orthopeodic specialist to see if she has fractures in the growth plates of her wrist that would require surgery to repair.     After that, Thing 1 and I have to get blood work done at the lab in the next building over. 

I admit that on Wednesday, Thing 1 has to go to his doctor and see how the medication change is going.  (They're weaning him off one of his meds.)  *sigh*

I admit that on Thursday, Thing 2 goes to the orthodontist to get evaluated for braces.  Then, in the afternoon, I go to my paid friend for my group meeting.

I admit that I will probably need to see my paid friend and my group ladies by Thursday.  *whew*

Status: offline 		I admit that I went to the Things' back to school nights this week, and was happy that all the teachers have good things to say thus far.

I admit that I was taken aback by an "introduce yourself" poem that Thing 2 wrote that was posted outside her English classroom.
"My Unfinished Story
 
I am from mushy pet names, from Buglet to Thing Two.
 
I am from a cozy, small home, with the sound of church music with my Grandfather's talent on piano keys.
 
I am from a tree of two limbs, [my maiden name] to [her father's surname].
 
I am from Spongebob to Glee, with comedy and drama.
 
I am from facebook and yahoo, with typing galore.
 
I am from trips of my small years, with Mickey Mouse and Cinderella, too.
 
I am from a loving family with everlasting hugs and kisses."
 
 
I admit that she makes me proud, over and over and over.

Status: offline 		I admit that I got Lizard's progress report yesterday in the mail.  she is "failing" a couple of classes.

One essay was turned in right at the printing of the report and one more essay is being turned in on Monday.

Did I mention that these are English classes?

There rest of the progress report has her in a positive light...she is in reality getting more involved with the class.  Even her counselor commits about it.

Next time I go down there, the kiddo is getting a mini shopping spree at her favorite store (unless she is working there)...

I admit that reading her poem made me weepy, too.

I admit that I will ground her for you, but I'm sure that she will outsmart me in my efforts to explain that she's in twubble for making us feel emotional, and I'll end up being grounded.

I admit that she told her dad that she was not going to accept his "emotional blackmail or efforts to make her feel guilty" just because she didn't want to go with him yesterday when he was running his errands.

I admit that I snorted privately at that brilliant exchange from my girl. 

I admit that her father said, "How old are you anyway?  You're just like your mother.  [Thing 1] and I will never win with the two of you."

I admit, two generations of *woot-woot-brilliance*  is da bomb!!!!!

I admit my heart feels a lot lighter, and a lot heavier than it has in the past year.

Status: offline 		I admit that out of respect for the "trainer", I refrained from making a snarky remark about someone being "trained", since it doesn't appear the topic of "training" was physical fitness, fetching the newspaper, or learning new software.

I admit that was a very big "refrain" for me. I also admit that I could not refrain from rolling my eyes, but at least no one actually saw it.

Status: offline 		I admit that I love Lavinia to pieces and would love to be able to hold her right now because she is all things good and loving.

I admit that I wish she could locate her friend.  *prayers and peace*

I admit that I'm sure Kyttyn and I could get someone from here to spring us if Thing 2 puts us in lock down.

I admit that I spent time with my Dad today and felt so incredibly sad because he is dealing with so much.

I admit that he was in an accident on Wednesday and was, thankfully to God, spared being harmed, although his car was totalled.

I admit that his brakes gave out as he was turning into traffic and he was T-boned on the driver's side, but came out of the incident without a cut, a scratch, or a bruise.

I admit that he is not going to get another car because he is nervous of having delayed reaction time, etc.

I admit that this breaks my heart because he was a big rig driver for so many years and driving has always been a delight for him.

I admit that I told him that I will take him anywhere and everywhere he needs to go, he only need ask me.

I admit that he also told me that he would like to see about going into a nursing home because he feels that he is getting forgetful about some things (like his meds, etc.) and doesn't want me to worry about him taking care of himself.

I admit that Thing 2 and I were there when he mentioned this and she didn't take the news well at all.

I admit that it would be a relief and a heartache to see him go into a nursing home/assisted living facility.

I admit that I still see my Dad as the big man who would swoop down and toss me onto his shoulders when I was little, and not the soft-spoken, older man who looks to me to get his things in order.

I admit that I love doing things for him, like cutting his hair and taking him to the grocery store like I did today.

I admit that I love him more than life itself, and he is the only man who has always, without fail, had my best interest at heart and loved me unconditionally, cheered me on, and prayed for me each and every day.

I love you, my real Daddy.

I admit that while I have watched families go through that since I was old enough to remember (mom was an in-home care nurse for over 20 some years), I dont know how I could handle watching my own parents do as I watched others do.

I admit theres one song already that I cant listen to lest I cry like a bitch because Dad wants it played at his funeral.

I admit that I will accept your hug, Topping, and send you a few in return.

Status: offline 		I admit that I would love to get all the hugs in the world from Kyttyn, and I would give them back in return.

I admit that my Dad just called and said that he wants to "just hold on a little bit and see" before I get paperwork and fill it out for the nursing home.

I admit that he said he cried this evening because he just misses his family being right outside his bedroom door.

I admit that I welcomed him to come back and live with us, but he kindly said, "no."

I admit that he is strong, and like me, needs to play things out in his mind before he acts on things.

I admit that, on a lighter note, Thing 2 told me that (in true black woman form), I was running my "hood" beauty salon out of my house because I cut my Dad's hair this afternoon, and washed and trimmed hers tonight.

I admit that I think she's really 30 something trapped in a "tween" body.

I admit that I am tired and should go to bed but I'm fearful because I'm sure that she's secretly plotting something unfortunate to happen in my sleep because she looked at me earlier and laughed very wickedly. 

I admit that she very nearly caused WW3 to happen tonight by calling Thing 1 a "poop crumb" then ran screaming behind me with her cast in the air, yelling, "I may be broken, you can't touch me!!!"      (Seriously?)
