How do I get into these things...I have to watch over teenage girls, which means no boys allowed...

I thought I would be doing it in June in Dallas...

This kid has the social life that I forgo in my teens...

I admit I had plans to get together with old friends for lunch.

I admit I kinda wanted to beg off so that I could stay home and lounge.

I admit it I have the blahs tonight so bad that I feel like going to bed without putting the clean sheets on it.

I admit it I probably won't do that because I know that fresh, clean flannel sheets will make me feel better.

I admit it I just ate too much & am wishing I was bulimic.

I admit it I have such a pathological aversion to puking that I never did it during pregnancies nor during the 9 years of serious drinking that I did. So I don't think that bulimia is going to strike me anytime soon.

I admit that one of the very best things in winter is: flannel sheets, warm out of the dryer, flung quickly on the bed before the warmth dissipates, and *DIVE DIVE DIVE snorgle*.

I prefer 400 count Egyptian cotton, courtesy of a discount site I found a while back in the UK - now all my bed linen is that, all white, and it's amazing; so comfy, winter or summer, hot or cold, and just dead snuggly :)

I admit it I use the flannel sheets year round, but my pillowcases are the uber-thread-count Egyptian cotton.

I admit it when I was a child the flannel sheets would come out for winter only. But back then, we called them sheet-blankets. They were incredibly thick & heavy & yummy. As an adult I realized that I could have that comforting feel anytime I want. I can also have dessert for dinner if I want.

I admit it I love being an adult.

I admit that I a wunnafull day.

I admit that I got my bills paid thru the end of February, found a nice pair of comfy shoes on uber-sale, spent some time with my Dad, took Thing 1 and two friends to the mall, went to the book store and read magazines at leisure for 2 hours, had a chai latte, and bought a Luther Vandross cd that was on sale.

I admit that Thing 1 smooched the stuffinz outta my cheek when we got home and thanked me for such a nice time with his friends.

I admit that I love me some happy chi'rrenz.

I admit that my Dad says it doesn't take much to find happiness if you're willing to look for it.

I admit that I told my sister this today when I sensed her anger at our other sister for various things.

I admit that I told her we don't know why she does or doesn't do things, not to take it personally, because we can't be in her head and don't know what she may be dealing with in her life right now.

I admit that my sister (grudgingly) agreed, especially when I said, "If a frozen yogurt (that I brought to my Dad) makes our 85 yr. old father thrilled to bits when he's got a fractured hip, who are we to get upset at her for being distant right now, really?"

I admit that my sister hates reality and good sense being served to her by me.
