I admit I don't even want to imagine the relocation costs of my cats to New Zealand at some point in the next 5 years My ex-h and I brought our cat home to the US from Okinawa...poor guy meowed the whole LONG trip. When we changed planes in CA, we looked out the window and saw him in his carrier in the baggage train, and his little mouth was still moving. He did the same thing for a 5 hour car ride from upstate NY to MA. Spicy is also like that When I moved last year it was a two hour journey and he made sure that nobody is able not to hear him Whereas my other cats just lie down and wait until all is over again. Once I move to NZ I have to use a company to relocate them as many airlines refuse to let you organise your cat transport yourself to NZ as the majority of flights go via singapour area and there they are very fussy and put your cat down if there is any vaccination or test done a day too early or too late. Thats at least what I figured out when once I was in discussion with someone to move to NZ. I know that once it is time to bring spicy to the airport (or that pet travel agency) I won't take the bus....its just not worth it with the level of noise he is doing in the box. When he was outside in his box whilst the removal company cleared my flat to move he kept moving his box upside down. But the good thing is that they can travel in pairs and I know that apart from spicy (who doesnt tolerate another cat that close to him when he can't escape if he wishes to do so, as it would be if a cat is lieing close to him on my bed) my other cats would be comforted from the company. But still a way to go until I get there Anyhow, still some time until then
