It reminds me of my ex-wife. We actually had a clause in the divorce agreement that if she became unable or unwilling to care for our kittens, that she would turn them over to my custody. If I, in turn, were unable to care for them, I would oversee their placement in a new home through a local foster care network.

She called me to say "Can you take the kittens? I'm becoming allergic and can't care for them."
I told her that I'd have to get back to her as I was about to leave town for a week on vacation, and that I wasn't sure how it would work, having FOUR maine coons in a small apartment--two clawed, two declawed. But I told that if she could wait a week, we would discuss it upon my return and find a solution.
I also told her that I could see right through her lie--she wasn't allergic, she just wanted her new girlfriend to sleep over and I happened to know that new plaything was allergic.

She admitted this was true--it was a lie. Then waited till I was out of town, and moved them out of state to her mother's so that I could not come and pick them up when I got back. I realized why--this allowed her to continue to see and enjoy the cats and ensure that I had no way to get them. Her mother is a hoarder. It was devastating to me.

I admit..... it almost drove me to violence I hated her so much. She did it just for spite.

I admit that a mutual friend of ours told me that the cats were happy and getting love.

I admit that I sometimes wonder if I was told that just to help me accept it....and I've decided that's the image I want to keep in my mind to help me let it go....regardless of whether or not it's the reality...

I admit that my first car was a white 1964 Buick Wildcat, NOT a show car, but one which had belonged to this little white-haired old gramma-lady who was I believe its original owner.
I admit that the muffler and tailpipe were in three pcs. in the trunk.
I admit that I drove it to my junior prom that way.
I admit that I will never forget that car.

I admit that I am thinking very seriously about taking a semi-break from CM for a while, effective immediately. I admit that I am leaving my profile on visible for the sake of friends, and I may stop in here from time to time, but that's about it. I admit that I love you all very much, but that my personal reality is not compatible with my spending so much time and energy here, and sometimes, I'm not sure I really belong. I admit that the post I made earlier, that I mentioned above, really brought that home to me; none of the usual labels or practices apply to me. I admit that this is not necessarily a Bad Thing or me being down on myself (or anyone else); it's just who I am, and I like myself pretty well, so it can't be bad.

I admit as a side note about cars, my Dad had an old Chevy panel that he rebuilt and also showed.

I admit it was bright cherry red, and so very beautiful.

I admit my cousin bought it from Dad before he passed.

I admit Sean still has the panel and takes very good care of it.
