i admit i have two biological sisters. one a year older, one 12 yrs younger. i admit there are times - completely apart from any d/s 'cause we all know what a virginal angel i am - when i feel more sisterhood here, than i do in my family of origin. i admit, this may be because this is an electronic media which provides a safe level of remove, and because i'm a private person normally, and i'm on the upside down part of the earth (well, y'all are, but i'm being nice) and chances are unlikely you're going to see me anytime soon, so you'll have lots of time to forget any admits i make. i admit, did that make sense? i'm afraid massive amounts of writing, revising, editing and time limits have killed my remaining brain cells i admit, kali, you're not alone. imagine a patchwork quilt big enough to cover the floor of your bedroom. imagine each scrappy piece is one of the women (we'll let the men be plaid pieces) who offers you support here, and around the edges of this whole big huge quilt are stars that touch so there is no unbroken line. and those stars are the support and affection we send you when you need it. it's big enough so that when you need to put away your public face, you have a whole rooms worth to be embraced by. and when you need to hide and cry, well, it's a doggone big hanky, isn't it? and very washable. in fact, it gets softer the more you cry, wash and use. i think sophie and linnea and holly need one of these quilts too. anyone else? i admit. quilts make it into a lot of my analogy's. i am not apologetic about it
