One external hard drive dead...........10 years of photos......POOF!

And I was putting off.......getting another external hard drive for just in case.

I admit it I think all the time that I should get an external hard drive.

I admit it putting important stuff like that onto a CD seems like a good idea too.

i admit, i am also sad for LaTigresse =(

(i also admit to adding a new external hard drive to my "must buy" list.)

how dead is it? did it literally obliterate everything, or is it just not functioning correctly? the information may still be there, just inaccessible without special hardware or software. know any computer geeks? my brother was able to get stuff for me from an "inherited" external harddrive that i could not power on.

Status: offline 		I don't like CDs because of the huge files I have and the large number of them I have. Hence the wonder of an external hard drive. Unfortunately I should have TWO OF THEM.

Yeah, and if I didn't have so many, or they were not so big..........the CDs are a great idea. I am cheap and don't want to keep buying CDs......or organize them. I hate organizing.

I admit that I am thrilled for you, pretty butterfly!!!

I admit that I'm wishing LaT much luck with getting the information off the old drive. In the winter, that happened to me and I was able to get a computer geek friend to get my photos and taxes back from the void, and then recycled my old laptop. It cost me a case of very expensive beer, but it was well worth having my stuff back. *offers hugs of understanding at the frustration*

I admit it I just made a most deee-scrumptious salad with lots of goodies in it.

I admit it the laundry is done & folded & hung & the stove has been taken apart & scrubbed.

I admit it I am having great difficulty pacing myself today because there's just so much crap built up!!!
