I admit that in this way at least living in Ireland rocks. GP's still do housecalls here, and it generally only costs slightly more than seeing her in her clinic. :-) quote:

Didn't think anyone did those anymore! over here, they're called locums. they come out after hours, when the clinics are all closed up. generally bulk bill (means you don't pay cash out of hand), usually. i guess they figure it's cheaper than people going to the ER unnecessarily. not everywhere over here has them, though
