I admit I spent about an hour trying to change the sparkplug wires. got the 3 on the drivers side done, and since I suspect that was where the problem would be, I tried starting the car (it SEEMS a little better, but that could just be wishful thinking). When I tried to turn the car off, the key would NOT turn. Oh sure, it would turn forward (and make that awful metallic screechy sound, since the engine was already running...) but it would not turn to the off position.

Off to the garage I go... 2+ hrs there (I was a drop in, so they squeezed me in, but they did have other vehicles already in progress...), and the verdict is: "cost-wise, it would cost as much to replace the ignition as it would to replace the steering column. it's easier to replace the column".

My reply: can ya just break it out and I'll use a screwdriver to start the damned thing?


So they did (although, unlike the saturn I had to do that with, I need needlenose pliers rather than a screwdriver).

$25.00.


fucking car.

ETA: tomorrow, I'll replace the other 3 plug wires...

I admit that I am reeeeely ready for my day off April 18! But I am continuing to have serious fun, and at least today I am awake, unlike the last two days where I could easily have put my head down on the desk and drifted away.

Status: offline 		I admit that two of the guys from NYFD that were here for the holiday were supposed to fly out this morning at 530.

They had a 4am wakeup call, and a taxi at 430.

I admit that the taxi arrived at 415, so at 425 I called the room to tell them.

No answer.

I kept calling the room, no answer.

Went up to the room and knocked on the door. One of the guys opened the door, and when I told him it was after 430 and the taxi was there, he turned and told the other guy to get up, they had to go.


at 445, the taxi left without them (or without letting me know he was going - the fucktard!! What if they had been walking into the lobby just then???)

I kept calling, until someone took the phone off the hook.

Tried knocking on their door again about 500.

When I left at 745, still no sign of them.

I hope they were able to get a flight out today!!

i admit that i bake them in the oven and they stay round.
 
i admit that when i used to do them in a frying pan, they always ended up flat.
 
i admit that some angel hair, spaghetti sauce, and green beans round out the meal.
 
i admit that the meat man at the supermarket told me that the prepackaged ground beef had "pink slime" in it.

Status: offline 		I admit Mr A just checked the flight costs from Qatar to Munich and I hope he is serious to come over in a few weeks time

I admit I don't expect a Ltr with him anymore after his behaviour in 2009 but wouldn't mind to spend time with him again

I admit apart from my UK-ex he was the most awesome date during the time when we spent time together afterwards...not so much But I can take that fact easy at the moment
