I admit that while it is imperfect in it's implementation, the hide feature does a good job of sparing me from exposure to the droppings of the moronic socktards we've been afflicted with lately.

The question I am pondering is whether or not we should care about the site, since the owner has made it abundantly clear he doesn't care, by permitting the socks which insist on stating illegal activities involving TOS violations?

Would not the appropriate consequence for the site be to forward these comments to the FBI and allow them to investigate, and charge the owner the appropriate penalties which accrue to people who permit this?

Sincerely though, don't play the game if you can't stand the heat (Or Kitchen, but that's a bit sexist ;-) and emotions are already running high!) . I enjoy a good race of cars as much as I enjoy a good race of wit. Even if the home-team advantage is huge ;-)

And really, any decent community will shield itself from outside criticism. People should be mindful of that, sure. But hey, we just kept upping the ante. This wasn't some random "Fuck you", it had its roots in an other post I'm sure you'll notice.

I admit the owner does indeed seem to have given up.

I admit I wish s/he'd then euthanize the site rather than stand by through this slow, pitiful death.

I admit I've largely been ignoring and hiding the socks. But it's reached the point that half to two-thirds of any given thread is hidden.

I admit I find that awfully distracting.

I admit lots of others seem to as well, given the mass exodus we've had.

I admit I care about the owner's inaction because it's destroying a site I've enjoyed for years.
