I take these threads with more than a pinch of salt (a ring of it around the top of a margarita glass is about right), but there are some interesting ideas at the bottom. If you hope to achieve a post-graduate degree perhaps your summer project should be learning to shut up and read between the lines.
You have fun on the boat. I'm off to a midnight BBQ and after that, I'm going to do things to my wife that could, worst case, put me in prison for the rest of my life. At some level, What It Is That We Do simply isn't a completely safe and rational choice. But, GOD what a rush.
I love it when people shout meaningless terms at me. This "Risk Aware Consensual Kink" means exactly squat in a US court. Someone dies during a BDSM scene, accident or not, it is seen as a criminal act in court unless the legislation changes.
I do lecture about speeding and drinking too much for that matter. What is it called when someone speeds goes over the line and kills a family in a mini van....oh wait that's the same thing as the first example. Excuse me for wanting to make sure my firends and loved ones don't you know, die.
People like you are the reason I stopped shutting up years ago. I guess you haven't seen enough people araound you die to understand that.
