Hi Fae!

How are all your projects coming along?  Do you still have engine parts all over your kitchen?

FelineFae -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/16/2010 4:49:29 PM)

Lol. Some project are going better than others.

The transmission has been put into storage. Chaos just doesn't have the time for it right now.
He plans to take it to a shop soon, when he can find the time for even that.
We got a used car, something we'd been putting off as long as the truck was running.
Master just loves his old trucks.

We're still looking for a nice rental that is pet friendly. Grr.

On the upside, i'm having a sewing circle here this week.
Master hopes it will help me to be more comfortable around people.

Good evening Fluffy, Fae, and everyone! It is so nice to see friends when I wake up.

FelineFae -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/16/2010 6:42:07 PM)

Good morning and evening, subwaythru. [:)]

subwaythru -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/16/2010 7:00:12 PM)

Fae, I hope your sewing circle is a rousing success, and the cucumber sandwiches sound simply divine. I collect little cookbooklets from the 20's, 30's, 40's, and 50's that charmingly demonstrate teas and get-togethers. They are usually the little books that came with a product such as shortening or something. I just love to sit and read them; the pictures and ideas are so sweet. Let me know if you would like me to will them to you. My evil spawn will send them to the landfill.

FelineFae -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/16/2010 7:34:44 PM)

How sad ![:(]

One of mother's little treasures is a tiny "Gone with the Wind" cookbook that you had to send in proof of purchases from an old 1930's toothpaste.
Cookbooks are fun, and have a cool look on whatever decade they've been printed in.

i must admit i rarely cook by recipe, but i do love looking at the pictures and decorations in the books. [:)]

Jell-O cookbooks are beyond awesome. I have actually taken the challenge and made such divine structures as the Ten-Layer Mountain. Ten colors-- you use regular Jell-O dilutions with water, and then add cream or sour cream to lighten it to the next tone!!! It was truly astounding. I took pictures and invited people over. I wanted to laminate it or something.

FelineFae -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/16/2010 8:39:17 PM)

*giggles*

Jell-O .

subwaythru -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/16/2010 8:41:25 PM)

Oh, Fae, you wouldn't BELIEVE some of the wacky ones you can find. I actually have a cookbook gaily titled, "Make it with SALT!"

FelineFae -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/16/2010 8:46:49 PM)

i've seen a jell-o mold in the shape of a human brain. weirdness. [&:]

subwaythru -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/16/2010 8:57:13 PM)

Oh, FAE!!!!
I have MADE the Jell-O mold in the shape of the human brain!!!!
...I used a cream cheese-tomato soup gelatin and added salad shrimp for 'squiggles'. It was the most astonishinly revolting offering on the hors'doeuvres table, and no one would touch it.
It being my annual fourth of july party, I slipped the unsavory dish to what were then my gleeful teenagers, who pranced off to create the piece de resistance of the whole evening with an M-80!
Memories.....

Okay, I've got to get to gittin and get dressed and off to work! Warning: I'll be Back later!

Oh, and I WIN! [sm=excuseme.gif]

FelineFae -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/17/2010 12:04:13 AM)

and i thought blowing up gummi bears in the microwave was fun ...

fluffypet61 -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/17/2010 7:00:41 AM)

Good Morning, Lasties!

i've decided to name my colostomy "Rose" short for rosebud.  The stoma itself looks like a red rosebud.  Since it doesn't smell so sweet and it spits out yucky stuff i put a bag over its head.  That makes me a "bag lady."

dragonseeker -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/17/2010 8:51:48 AM)

GOOD MORNING FLUFFY (even if your offline) ... Awwww Rose.... isn't it weird how that by naming stuff it just makes them more "bearable" i do believe that is one of the main reasons to why we name our kid lol... Got some pretty good scars on my body and i have named them all the big ones... Indigo, Lilly, Fanny, and Ghossie.

fluffypet61 -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/17/2010 3:42:06 PM)

i agree, kamile, not only bearable but funny, too.  Sometimes humor helps dispel negative vibes.

And YES! i WIN!

FelineFae -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/17/2010 3:52:00 PM)

If not, whiskey makes everything funny. [:D]

dragonseeker -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/17/2010 3:57:52 PM)

Alcohol in general makes me think i am friggin hilarious (even when i am not)..... needless to say i don't drink that often.... Jagermeister makes me do things i don't remember the day after, or things i horribly regret. Am only allowed to drink that around my Sire [:D]....

GoddessImaginos -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/17/2010 3:58:18 PM)

A nice, not-too-pricey single-malt Scotch makes it even funnier. Also, I am borrowing the *WIN* from fluffy because I got My Husband to join CM today! *takes the WIN and gives it a little tiny NASA ballcap to wear, just like My Hubby's..*

subwaythru -> RE: Last one to post, wins (5/17/2010 4:09:11 PM)

Fluffy, I also am glad that you are finding ways to become acquainted with somewhat of a humorous fondness with your bag. My own losses/adjustments seemed almost insuperable and all about me ponderously Sad for poor, poor miss s until one day, devious schemes for utilizing this new part of me came to me, one after the other, in waves of hilarity. I am still too shy about my loss to tell it to the world at large but if you are curious and want a couple of ghastly morbid laughs, cmail me or at the other address I gave you and I will spill the delightfully grisly details. You help me so much with your candid revelations of experience and concerns. I only wish I could express this adequately and return your kindness in some small way. love miss s.

[sm=couch.gif] A little blue sofa, to hide many boxes of Rice-a-Roni behind. You shall never find it here... Mine! All mine !!!
