If you had two cameras and a helper, s/he could use camera two to take a pic of the viewfinder (focused on you) of camera one.

One last one, then I promise I'll stop. You could print out some of the earlier pix and make a composite portrait using different bits from various pix.

Thank you!

Come up with another that my photographer wanted me to do but I bottled out...... we were going to do this in a long fur coat (fake I may add), but it could be done with a long jacket, nothing under it - obviously its a two person job this one so a self portrait is out, but you stand at a busy junction on the other side of the road from the photographer, so there are cars in the shot, then you show just enough skin so anyone viewing the pic would know you are naked - again if you have a slight shutter delay the cars will appear to be moving... then leg it before you get arrested for flashing - ive seen the results of this and it looks sooo great.

I lied; I had another idea.

Cecil Beaton once took a portait of someone with her head wreathed by crumpled foil. It's not my favorite of his works, but it was an interesting effect.

do one when you first wake up in the morning....or right before bed....or put a video cam on before bed and take a still of you sleeping from that.

pick a totally unidentifiable part of your body and just take a super close up of the hair folicles. you could even write something on it like, "me" or "self."

and i dont know if this would count, but cut your fingernails, put them in a pile and take a picture of the pile...you could also do hair.

If you want to get weird or angsty, how about an "Ophelia" shot? Use the bathtub for the pond. Wear a billowy dress, loose hair, scatter blossoms in the water and lie on your back "playing dead". Done right, it's very stunning. "Ophelia" is one of my very fav. John Waterhouse paintings.

It is a pretty ambitious project.  Cindy Sherman stopped at 69 "when she ran out of cliches".

I had heard that, yes, though my Folger Library edition of the play (which I dusted off last night in preparation for seeing show in June or July) seems to waffle. It defines nunnery as convent, then says "The word was sometimes used mockingly to refer to a brothel." I kinda like the idea that Shakespeare was being deliberately ambiguous.

paint something creative on your body with tide and use a black light.
you've probably already taken a reflection photo, but what about your shadow?
you could always try something like the calendar girls.

Great suggestions everyone.
I have to say...I really, really, really love the tide idea.
You've all given me days worth of pictures.
Thanks.  8)

Do half of your face in KISS make-up, leave the other half as is. That'd combine two favorites of mine, the rock group and our lovely betch.

What about a photo of you jumping up and down on your bed with your hair flying around you .. there is something joyful, innocent and yet decadent about doing this (unless it is just me )

I've tried jumping shots in the past, but haven't gotten one that I've liked.
Some day hopefully because they're a blast to do.

I do believe the eyes are the most important part of someone's beauty...how about a picture of just your eyes? or your lips? that would be beautiful...good luck hon.

Okay, random stupidity (hey, you're not even halfway through the year... you may still get desperate!)
Mime makeup
Clown makeup
Fisheye lens
From the toes up
Close-up shot looking into your mouth
Close-up shot looking into... any other orifice of your choice
Viewed from the back
Viewed from well above, looking down (not sure if you have a remote shutter release)
Looking at a strangely photoshopped picture of yourself (negativeized, etc) on your monitor
Awash in stage blood
Imitating various famous images (The Thinker, Marilyn Monroe, Uncle Sam, American Gothic, The Scream, with a budgie on your head, etc.)
Translucent latex hood (or pantyhose, or plastic wrap... but i'm rooting for the hood! )

Okay, that's all i can do without a soda.

I've done close ups of my eyes, lips, teeth and feet.
The teeth shot is one of my faves.  It was Easter Sunday morning.
