That is one of my points DV, you don't have to ask a question to start a thread!
The MAJORITY of my posts are my thoughts or opinions on things, I RARELY ask for advice here.

However, I know that if I type one simple sentence such as: " I had pancakes for breakfast today."

At least 20 people will give me some damn advice.

That is one of the new things that amuses me here.
Start a thread, about any damn thing, then sit back.

Did you have bacon with the pancakes?

Level, everyone knows it's not bacon that goes with pancakes...it's sausage!

Heh heh, yes, that too. And eggs? [:D]

As  newcomer starting a thread is daunting. i was more worried about looking stupid than being flamed. No response can be off putting, i would think the main reason most regulars stop posting is either, that they are fed up with constant sniping, or because they have stopped using the net as often.
Personally im worried if i start another thread all those Domme type Ladies will shout at me.   [:D]

Well said, Mia. There's no such thing as too many good topics, and varied viewpoints.

OH, SURE....you laugh NOW.  but remember.  EVERYTHING is connected.

And the Internet proves it.  Just google "pancakes and sex" and read the first entry.

See?  EVERYTHING is connected.

I will also add this, if you only give advice but never share, it as if you are perfect.
Surely those of us that give advice, STILL make mistakes don't we?
Is there such a thing as someone who is perfect in every BDSM area?

juliaoceania -> RE: Kudos! to the BRAVE CM regulars that START new threads! (5/27/2007 11:39:35 AM)

I start fewer threads than I used to because I have less to talk about, more to do outside in my community. I think that you all will be seeing less and less of me, although I plan to keep posting, for one it is something I share with my Daddy.

Other than that, I have found it hard to start certain threads, and I start a lot less of them because I found that even if I posted just a story or a video with no commentary I was slammed and attacked.. not that I care much, but sometimes it has gotten rather personal. I enjoy posting threads of spiritual significance to myself more than weighing in on political threads these days... for one, I have decided to get active real time politically again... I have taken a break from that for too long.

It is nice for you to acknowledge how hard it can be to put your ideas out there to be slammed for them. I think that recently when one person took personal things I had posted and used them in an unrelated debate I just decided that it is too ugly for me to incorporate into my life on a daily basis... not the vibe I am looking for in my life at all.

Upwards we go...

Juliaaaaaaaaaaa...lol     walmart.

Now just kidding, you and I don't always see eye to eye, but I love your spirit and your tenacity.
Please don't go the way of Ross, and so many others.
You can't leave, we won't let you.
