My understanding is that these TSA people are only part-time employees, with only High School diaplomas and are poorly trained.

Not true. Many of them have college degrees not that that makes any difference.
Just like in Starbucks.
I don't know why they're so against "profiling."
That's the one thing they (should) be doing!

Here's the question you have to ask yourself, Farg---

Was it in fact, over three ounces and therefore a danger to the security of our homeland?  I think you will upon reflection,  see this incident in its true light, and come to the right obvious and only reasonable and logical conclusion, for the betterment and safety of our society as a whole.  I believe that a little noodle work and you should see the similarities in the two packages of vital information presented so far.

Huh?

I don't think beverages of any size constitute any threat to the existence of the Republic.

I can't believe the army is so irresponsible that they hand this kinda dangerous shit out in the first place, then.  Is our fuckin' government gonna end up killing us with their fuckin' stupidity?

True Story!!!....Several months ago...When I was a sub....I would go to the airport with a ticket for the cheapest "one way" flight I could find...I would then have a friend walk over to security and discreetly point me out as the person that she overheard talking about that I had hidden explosives in my butt.  Needless to say, when going through security I would act nervous...Avoid all eye contact....I had previously applied some lube to my forehead....to give the appearance of sweat....And then I would simply wait for the sweet release of a free ass fucking, all on our Governments dime....Have you seen what these pro Dommes are charging nowadays?

mnottertail -> RE: "Nightmare at Reagan National Airport: A Security Story to End all Security Stories" (6/18/2007 2:33:42 PM)

Well, even worse then, them fuckin' guys should know something about dangerous.

Vendaval -> RE: "Nightmare at Reagan National Airport: A Security Story to End all Security Stories" (6/18/2007 2:42:15 PM)

You are a genius, domiguy!  Was it the warm and wet lube?
Did they use the "rough rider" condoms on your virgin ass?

Vendaval -> RE: "Nightmare at Reagan National Airport: A Security Story to End all Security Stories" (6/18/2007 2:44:39 PM)

hmm....Magnetic imaging?  Proof of alien abduction implants?
An alternative to saline, botox and silicone?  [sm=idea.gif]

We had a wonderful documentary on TV here a few weeks ago about a certain company that runs security at a certain UK airport. It was filmed by way of secret camera, worn by an employee of the company wishing to blow the whistle on how things were being run;
- staff sleeping on duty
- insufficient staff to perform the task
- staff reading the newspaper rather than watching the xray monitors showing referred bags - referred because of their suspicious contents at the first scan
- searches not being conducted, but reported as having been conducted
- pilfering from hold baggage
- attractive women being singled out for strip search for reasons not altogether connected with security
- company training documents being ignored and this not being followed up on
- specific Government threat warnings being ignored
- free access being given to planes on the ground during refuelling such that anyone could enter, unchecked and unknown
- searches of planes on the ground prior to flight, bypassed
- security staff using drugs and getting drunk in the airport, on duty
- security staff using their access to planes to smuggle drugs in and money out of the country
- security staff with long criminal records - attempted murder, kidnap, armed robbery for example, and still being given full security clearance and a job

In short, it was a total fucking joke. And what made it even more annoying to me personally, was the obvious lack of intellect of the majority of the personnel, and their total lack of interest in doing the job as it is required to be done. They may as well not have been there at all. What really interested me, was the number of Muslims doing the job - but we mustnt say anything about that.

So for these fucking jokers to have then stopped me recently because I was carrying a bag (from the shop next door to the flaming security zone) and ask me to check the contents (liquid make up)....... anyway, I'm not prepared to line their pockets so I got it on board regardless, after a bit of a hoo hah. They seemed happy with the "fine" of one cigarette lighter (no doubt lighting a bong as we speak), and I got my explosives aboard.

I wonder who these TSA people are? Private contractors or government employed? Mind you given the stories I hear from my brother (UK immigration at a certain airport) it doesnt seem to make much difference - its mostly all completely wank.

By the way, the airport concerned flys to and from the US several times a day..... and this security company is specially employed by a certain US airline for their planes and flights.

Fast Reply:

I've seen the video and the woman does appear to dump her cup onto the floor, as the TSA alleged.  It's impossible to tell what's going on from the video, but she doesn't seem completely innocent to me.

The moment you start profiling anybody, people profiling people who work for TSA as a bunch of
uneducated, obtuse, rule-bound, underpaid, power-hungry, jackbooted thugs.

It is a slippery slope, popeye1250.

Do you really want to go there?

The security company that held many of the airport screening contracts prior to 9/11 was Argenbright... a goodly number of those guards were re-hired as TSA 'federal agents'.

My point, Alumbrado is as follows...

[smartass]

We profile TSA agents as uneducated, power-hungry, jack-booted, rule-crazy, unintelligent dolts, and it is only a matter of time before we profile all Middle-Eastern ancestry, single, educated, 35-45 year old men as being terrorists, or people whose father and middle-east connections got him out of every idiotic screw-up in his entire life, including drug use, criminal activity, frightening incompetence, etc., as "Presidential quality material."

Sinergy, you left out "with college degrees."
And why would you want to profile someone who wasn't boarding the aircraft?
It's about SAFTEY not about being "politically correct."
Next time you go to a Starbucks say out loud, "Could I have a show of hands, anyone behind the counter with a college degree please raise your hand."
It's true, Starbucks has one of the highest educated counterstaff in the business.

?

Yeah, I guess getting their grubbly little hands all over it, and then FINALLY permitting it to go aboard doesn't really count as "Throw Away", but the point's the same. The just as easily could have confiscated it.
