for me...Master started our relationship off when we woke up telling me that i was beatiful, that He loved me, and that He was proud of me...for me it took a LONGGGGG time to accept a compliment like that...and now...i do things and strive to hear it...He doesnt often say good girl...thats what He says to our dog when she obeys...He tells me that He is proud of me...and there are times when this girl asks why...and sometimes when He volunteers the information...which i do love hearing.

i absolutely loooove hearing "good girl" from my Master or any other man i've served. just the other day a "vanilla" man i served domestically told me "good girl" after completing a task especially well...it made me feel all fuzzy inside just the same as it would hearing it from a Dominant. probably the only time i wouldn't care for it would be if it came from another woman, but thankfully that hasn't happened.

 When I was younger, I said "good girl" with little meaning. One day I was told that when I said it she felt complete,content,glowing. After that, I said it with meaning and still do all these years later.

So simple a phrase.........yet so profound a meaning to those "tuned in" to this lifestyle.

"Good girl", to those who need to hear it today.

It depends on how it's received when I say it, usually. For some people, it's a negative trigger, for others it's a good one. If it's negative, I usually don't use it unless we're working on that particular landmine and have chosen to stomp on it.

One of the best experiences, and warmest memories, that I have about the phrase was when I went to Master Taino's Master's Training. One of the volunteer slaves was telling us, near the end of the weekend, that it wasn't until she came for the slave training that she actually really BELIEVED that she was a good girl when someone told her she was. Later that day, I found a sharpie and talked to the other Masters. As we were doing our wrap-up, we had her crawl to each Master and we wrote "good girl" on her (wear it would be hidden by clothing)...and sent her home to her Master that way. She cried the entire time and it was just beautiful.

When i hear it from Him, thats all i hear.  any other sound becomes insignificant.  "That's My good girl"  "That's My girl"  Words of love.

He's never said specifically "good girl", but he sometimes tells me he's proud of
me (occasionally for something I think is no big deal).

It feels really good, and reinforces
my feelings of submission to him.

Hearing my Master say "good girl" or similar phrases makes my heart leap for joy and fans the flames within me. i get a feeling that's mixed pride at having pleased Him, pleasure at hearing the praise from Him, and joy in the knowledge He is taking the time to let me know i've done well in my service to Him.

When I was submissive... it was the ultimate reward... to hear my Master (usually a Daddy Dom) say that to me was one of the greatest things about being a submissive... though I don't miss submitting much at all these days

It depends on the context in which it's said, of course.  Typically, it makes me feel a great sense of pride that I pleased Him, and in turn makes me want to please Him all the more.

i never serve with the intention or hope of getting a reward. good girl is not something i hear all the time, not even every time i have completed a task exceptionally well. it's my Master's belief that if a slave gets a pat on the head for every job well done, they will become overly confident and sure of themselves, and think a bit too highly of themselves. so it's something he reserves for special moments when i have truly touched him with my devotion or determination to please. this could be from anything to a sexual service to cleaning of the house.

Depends on who is saying it.  If it is a Dom/Master I respect and trust - it leaves me with a wonderful feeling.
If it is someone who I don't know, or doesn't know me (especially if they could be one of my sons - I have 6 of them) it piss's me off.
