Anyone but Master saying it to me I would probubly deck them. I dont know why it is different comeing from him because I generaly consider it to be condisending.

Smiles. Just the thread for me I guess. Hmm...It depends on the tone. My Dom says it to me, and then whether I smartly reply I know- or even a Thank you, I'm always smiling. But then he tries to bring it down a bit by telling me not to pat myself on the back just yet for whatever reason. He says if I get to confident in my abilities that I will stop trying to improve. Which is not true.

Everyday, with my career, my family and my friends... i am in charge.
But it is ONLY when my Master says "Down girl," in that deep, controlled voice of His, that i am free to be who i want to be.
That feeling in my stomach begins and my knees are weak as i drop to the floor at His feet.
And when He says "Good girl," i am completely content, knowing that i have pleased Him.

BUT.... if a male, in my business world, were to call me "girl" - they'd have the WRATH of this normally sweet, well-mannered, southern girl to deal with!

For me, hearing good girl provokes very mixed feelings. I kinda don't know how to handle it I usually just shrug it off and find it rather uncomfortable.

I see that most of the replies are one of joy and pleasure ! I never looked at me saying "good girl" as condescending, however to one other than one whom you dominate/manage/control I can see it taken that way.

It makes me feel great because if Master calls me a good girl for whatever reason it means ive pleased Him and thats one of THE most important things in the world for me.

I found that it gave me odd feelings as well. I much rather see him with a smile on his face. Sadly due to distance words are used more than actions and I have gotten used to it. It lets me know that I have done something that has earned praise.
