this girl notices several forums on the collar me boards that address the topics of slash speak, capital letters, and third person talk. Lots of members, both Dom and sub, have strong feelings against all three of these styles of communication.
In an attempt to defend my use of these styles - here goes..................................
When i am referring to my Master and myself i shorten it by using W/we. When i speak of myself and any other person i use we. That way a reader will know the slash version represents a special relationship.
Instead of saying the house that belongs to my Master and myself i use the shorter O/our house. Again, the slash pronoun is used to indicate a special relationship.
When i am referring to your Master (or Mistress) and you i use the shorter Y/you.
i only use the slash in PRONOUNS that include both Dominant and sub where it might not be clear that these are not equals.
Capitalizing words like Master, Mistress, His, Hers, He and She are a sign of respect and similar to capitalizing Mother, Father, Sir, Ma'am, God or Country when used as a proper noun.
As far as third person talk.... when Dom's or my Master talks about me as girl, i will respond by talking about myself as this girl instead of saying i.

Girl,I can take it or leave to be honest it disturbs when they go on and on with this kind if dialog,I was a very strich GOR Master for many Years and my girls used this kind of speech most of the time now that I have left that all behind for the "better" and kinder bdsm,like it say I can take it or leave it just don't go on a long rant using this is what I ask of those that serve...
