To go back even further in time, anyone learn to type by dictophone? (No, Ron, not that kind of "dic"  )  My mom started out as a "steno girl" and everything was typed by dictophone.  When she needed something typed, she would have one of us kids read it to her.  God forbid, if she was trying to type something from a manuscript and you came into the room and started talking.... she'd automatically start typing what everyone said, lol.  She'd start screeching curse words and rip the paper out of the platen roller.  (That's the roller thingy that you'd feed the paper into....)

Status: offline 		what was worse was taking dictation  .. learning shorthand and then trying to decipher what you wrote OMG I thought I would never pass that class .. LOL .. but I did and if I had  needed to make m living as a stenographer me and the boys would have starved in a week lol

Status: offline 		fluffy:  that would make sence for me and most of the kids in my class.. if it worked that way.. but we were taught the first time with out any cover.. i type 55 or more GWPM looking at the keys with very few errors.. as soon as i put the stupid cover on my GWPM plumets down to 20 or below. i was taught to look a tthe keys in middle school.. its how i type best.. i dont need to learn the keyboard.. i know it.. the stupid orange thing messes me up cuz it distracts me from the monitor. bright orange isnt the color to use to make ppl not look at the keys.

Cali: i dont need to read the page.. i can glance at it type the words and then do it again.. i dont read stuff im typing unless its really late or really early.. when my brain isnt working.

MissH: ive already paid my typing class dues.. i learned how to type correctly, useing the same exact program im useing now. id have no proble with them saying "now dont look at the key board.. look at ur book" but the bright orange makes me look at the damn keyboard.

and NO.. my mother dosent give a rats ass about my day.. she just wants to be annoying.

Bounty: ive done that.. told her how my day was.. very next day she asked again.. she has NO memory... im surprised she rememebrs who i am.. hell half the time she has to go threw all the names of the critters inthe house before she gets to my name.

Status: offline 		hanable, i ask my kids every day how their days are.  nobody's days are exactly the same all the time, either are perceptions and moods and how we interpret what goes on.  i'm starting to feel sorry for your mom, if one of my kids talked about me like you do your mother, they'd find themselves booted out the door.

i'm not trying to be unsympathetic, but i've been down this road with you, given suggestions and you always have a reason to stay miserable.  well stay there then.

MISS H ,I don't see any thing wrong with your post,I don;t think she gets the direction or attention she needs at home..its diffently a cry for attention and help..I will give her the attention she needs if the whining stops..So hanable I am not mad.,none of us are.I just hope you understand what we are trying to say..Like I said any time you need help OR attention just drop me a note and we can figure out what you need..bounty
